Transporting and laying reinforced concrete pipes

The Halfen rapid lift anchor system(Frimeda System)

The Halfen ring transporting anchor system consists of asteel piece (anchor) inserted into the concrete and a pullpiece (ring coupler). The ring connection is inserted intothe recess of the cast-in anchor and the bolt is closedmanually. This means that the coupler can be connectedto the anchor in seconds. The ring coupler can now beexposed to forces in any direction, making twisting,turning and tilting no problem. To release, the bolt is thenopened either manually or by meansof a remote release thereby freeing

the ring coupler. The Halfen ringtransporting system is one of themost secure systems available with,e.g. confusion between betweenanchor and ring couplerimpossible.Only matching componentscan be connected. The ringcouplers cannotbe openedunder force.

In addition to the standard TPA-R1 ring coupler with steelbinder, there are also ring couplers with cable loops(TPA-R2). In cases where access is difficult there are alsoring couplers with manual and pneumatic remote release(see ) catalogue.TPA

The reusable recess element TPA-A1 is suitable both fornailing on and also for screwing on to the wall formworkby means of bayonet or threaded holding bolts. It isdistinguished by its high level durability and resistance toformwork treatment agents.

This non-reusable recess element consists of two partswhich are pushed together above the anchor head.Fastening to the formwork is by means of a wedge whichis pushed through the two fastening brackets. To protectthe formwork from dirt etc., this recess element canremain in the concrete part until arrival at the buildingsite.

The recess elements ofthe anchor should always bealigned longitudinally.

The TPA-FF flat-foot anchor is ideally suited for the safetransportation and assembly of concrete pipes. It offers arange of benefits on account of its low height andoptimised form. In conjunction with the Halfen ringcouplers, transportation even of especially thin-walledconstruction elements is also possible. For insertion, triedand tested accessories such as the TPA-A1 recessmember, the TPA-H1 holding plate or the TPA-HMmagnetic holding plate are available (for details seeCatalogue).

TPA-FS Splayed anchor

The splayed anchor has proved highly reliable for shaftsand shaft rings. Fitted with two or three anchors as shownin the diagram, the elements can be lifted andtransported safely and easily. Splayed anchors aregenerally built in with the reusable TPA-A1 recesselement.The non-reusable TPA-A8 recess element is available forthe commonly used 2.5 load group. This helps to preventsoiling of the recess as it can remain in the shaft or shaftring until arrival at the building site.

The Halfen ring lifting anchorsystem (Frimeda System) is di-stinguished by its simple andsafe use.

For instance, after being inser-ted in the recess former the an-chor can be fastened at anypaont on the steel formwork bymeans of the TPA-HM magnetholding plate. There is a widerange of auxiliary parts availa-ble for various types of form-work and the particular appli-cation.

By inserting two round pins andapplying a scissor action thereusable recess former TPA-A1can easily be removed from theprefabricated part.

The ring clutch, e.e. TPA-R1,can now be inserted into therecess. It is absolutely impossi-ble to confuse the differentload groups as only matchingcomponents fit together.

The ring clutch is fixed firmly tothe anchor by means of a ringbolt. The status (open/closed)on the Halfen lifting ancor sy-stem can easily be seen.

The ring clutches habe no pre-ferential pull direction. This ma-kes movement possible in everydirection and also the rotationof a pipe through 90° withoutthe need for any extra parts.The ring bolt cannot be openedwhen under force. This ensuressafe transportation and safeassembly. Uncoupling is onlypossible when no charge is ap-plied on the clutch. It is effectedby manually opening the ringbolt or by means of a pneuma-tic remote release. Ring clutcheswith remote release are desi-gned especially for applica-tions, where the acces to theclutch is relatively difficult orwhen there is a danger for theworkers.
