De- pending on the requirements, the thickness of the rubber sheet may range between 3 - 6 mm. Use VULCOFERRAN 2105 is recommended as a protective lining for structural components made of steel that are subjected to chemical exposure. The primary fields of application include linings of inlet and outlet boxes and cells for chlorine-alkali electrolysis, pro- cessing tanks as well as supply and storage tanks, pipelines and various other apparatus components utilised in chem- ical process plants and power stations. Properties VULCOFERRAN 2105 is characterised by its excellent chemical resistance to alkaline and acidic media. A particularly notable feature of this lining is its high diffusion resistance and outstanding mechanical properties. During application, the substrate must be kept absolutely dry. Uncured material has to be protected from any kind ofmoisture (condensation, fog, precipitation or other water source).

Packaging / Shelf lifeThe products shall be stored and transported in a cool and dry place. Shelf life is specified for a storage temperature of23 °C. Higher temperatures reduce, lower temperatures increase the shelf life. The containers must be kept well lockedand must be locked again after each material withdrawal. Liquid and pasty products are stored frost-free.

ApplicationThe VULCOFERRAN-2105-rubber lining system is composed of the single-component Primer 1, the single-componentPrimer 2, a single-component adhesive Vulkodurit-adhesive LS3A, Vulcoferran seam solution 2104/N1 and the VULCO-FERRAN-2105-rubber sheet.Spread the Primer 1 on the substrate, followed by the Primer 2 and then apply two coats of the Vulkodurit adhesiveLS3A. The rubber sheets are coated with the VULCOFERRAN seam solution 2104/N1 and bonded to the substrate inaccordance with the specifications contained in DIN EN 14879-4. A durable and solid bonding will be achieved by firmlypressing down the rubber sheet and the subsequent vulcanisation process.

Consumption

Primer 1 approx. 0.15 kg/m²

Primer 2 approx. 0.20 kg/m²

Vulkodurit-Adhesive LS3A approx. 0.25 kg / m² per coat

VULCOFERRAN Seam solution 2104/N1 approx. 0.10 kg/m²

Safety measuresMix and apply material only in well ventilated areas. Provide ventilation suited to the conditions when working in pits ortanks. Do not smoke!Do not expose materials to heat or open flame. This applies in particular to welding works (weld beads). Avoid direct con-tact of the material with the skin. Wash hands with soap and water; do not clean the skin with solvents. Use barrier soapand protective creams on exposed skin areas. In all other respects comply with the relevant regulations for prevention ofaccidents.Refer to the Safety Data Sheets!

Cleaning of EquipmentThe working tools contaminated with the adhesive are cleaned using KCH-diluent 5.Cleaning must be carried out prior to hardening of the material. Cleaning must be carried out outdoors.
