It is a high performance demodulator for advanced DVB satellite reception supporting all DVB-S2X configurations up to 210Mbps over 4 ASI outputs as well as 500Mbps over 2 Ethernet ports with its dual L-Band inputs with indepen- dent LNB controller on each RF input. With its 2 physical RF inputs, Neptune is able to manage up to 8 virtual channels 1 (by default 4 channels connected to RF input 1 and 4 channels connected to RF input2) to demodulate up to 8 differente frequencies with their own PLS, Symbol Rate, MOCOD and so on. Each of these virtual channel could be mapped to one (or more) of these 4xASI and 8xIP outputs. So Neptune offers a very full flexibility for any kind of applications. Based on a common platform, thanks to software options and its flexibility, Neptune is able to cover a large range of use cases as - DVB-S2X DSNG receiver with a very efficient bandwidth occupation - Very high datarate (500Mbps) for a distribution link with high RF sensitivity - An OTT contribution receiver high datarate and efficient GSE-HEM desencapsulation - DVB-CID reader over both RF inputs compliant with S2X/S2/S, - S2X/S2 Direct To Tower for SFN terrestrial contents distribution over 4ASI A default cost effective configuration set with a symbol rate at 15MBaud, constellations QPSK/8PSK over DVB-S2X/S2 standards allow to discover an efficiency demodulator thank to a high RF performances with a very low noise factor, efficient adjacent channels rejection. This demodulator, combined with its software options, offers the best flexibility on the market. Do not take care about hardware, enjoy with software options! Performances & Reliability All the modulation modes of EN 302 307 part I & II can be demodulated by Neptune. In the most robust MODCOD, the C/N can go below 0 dB and Neptune will synchronize and demodu- late correctly the input signal with an automatic MODCOD detection. Neptune offers a very high input sensitivity with noise factor lower than 5dB, up to 256APSK constellation. With this noise factor the power transmission as well as the antenna size could be reduced. In parallel a full error monitoring facilities and signal statistics (C/N, BER before/ after FEC, PER) are provided via a two redundant interfaces on the Ethernet port (Embedded Web Server or SNMP). Neptune offers a dedicated monitoring per content where the MODCOD (constellation, code rate), pilot, frame length and C/N margin can be different in the case of a VCM modulation. www.teamcast.com
