EQUIPMENT (Continued from page 88)

• New vertical turbine pumps are efficient over a wide operating range, therefore reduce power costs, according to Worthington Corp.. Harrison, N. J. The line includes 36 different hydraulic designs, and the pumps are available in water or oil lubricating models. Ε 13 • Free-piston pump impels a continuous air-free flow without contamination, according to the maker, Crossley Machine. Trenton, N . J. Of stainless steel, the pumrj is operated by compressed air and has nylon pistons and valves. Crossley says it requires no safety or relief valves; when a stoppage occurs, the pump stops. Ε 14

• Pump for low temperature service has been developed by Worthington Corp., Harrison, X. J. The unit is a s tandard Worthington pump modified to handle low temperature liquids, such as liquid oxygen at —297° F., its atmospheric boiling point. Ε 1 5
