Hybrid Ring Junction (180° Hybrid)380 – 430 MHzTETRA, TETRAPOL
The hybrid ring junction can be used:– as a power splitter with a ratio of 1:1,– for the decoupled combining of two transmitters
with arbitrarily low frequency spacing (at 3 dBloss),
– for the decoupled combining of two receivers witharbitrarily low frequency spacing,
– for the decoupled combining of two transmitter/receiver units, whose integrated duplexers arewithin the same frequency range,
– as component to form combiners.
Description:The hybrid ring junction has four ports, two of whichare decoupled from each other. For example effec-tive power entering into port 1 is distributed intoports 2 and 4, port 3 is decoupled and withoutpower if ports 2 and 4 are ideally matched. In prac-tice an absorber of suitable power at port 3 is to beplanned for according to the mismatch of ports 2 and 4.Decoupled combining can be made via port 1 and 3or 2 and 4.
