    In the Retail sector, CBBC launched a series of key initiatives, including organising flagship

    events and missions, publishing reports and offering extensive partners and member

    companies network

    In the Retail sector, CBBC advisers and delivery team helped more than 60 member companies, especially through Business Support Services (BSS)

    CBBC Great British Brands Festival (GBBF) showcasing the best British

    GBBF helps British retailers establish a strong base in fast-emerging Chinese consumer markets. We

    organise high-profile UK-themed sales exhibitions and establish partnerships with UK Trade & Investment,

    Chinese government bodies and trusted business partners in eight cities in China (2016)

    Flagship missions & extensive Network, providing UK companies

    routes to Chinese market

    Luxury China Inward Mission took a host of business leaders

    from Chinese luxury retail to key sites and events in

    Edinburgh and London, offer UK companies a route to

    business in China by interactions with key decision makers

    The delegation also participated in the Royal Warrant

    Exhibition. Her Majesty the Queen and HRH Prince of Wales

    attended and Chinese delegates were able to see the Queen

    and members of Royal family in exhibition

    targeted meetings with suitable distributors in Shanghai

    o CBBC organised a comprehensive meeting schedule

    for Spencer & Fleetwood’s staff in Shanghai

    o CBBC provided guidance about market entry strategy,

    inc. demand for different products, packaging options

    and pricing

    o Following the trip to China, Spencer & Fleetwood was

    delighted to receive a high value order from one of the

    distributors it had met through CBBC

    Background: Queen Anne Tableware,

    a British silver plated tableware

    producer, wanted to showcase its new

    product line with government backing

    “I now have increased confidence of promoting

    Queen Anne Tableware in China and look forward to

    more cooperation in the future…”

    British Ambassador’s residence to launch a new product

    collection and develop relationships with Chinese customers

    o CBBC used government connections to arrange

    attendance of UK Trade & Investment Deputy Director of

    Trade, who gave a speech on the day

    o Following the event, Queen Anne witnessed a marked

    improvement. Queen Anne emerged as one of its top

    three selling brands among all arts and craft products
