CBBC Education & Training Sector - Key Activities

In the Education & Training sector, CBBC supports and organises a number of initiatives,
addressing the needs of organisations from early children education to schools to further higher
education and higher education. In addition, many of CBBC’s activities in this sector focus on
the employability, entrepreneurship and innovation agenda
In the Education & Training sector, the CBBC education team helped more than 110
member companies in the Education & Training sector in 2015
CBBC provides network, matchmaking, advice, support and information across the

Launchpad provides a simple, cost-effective, low-risk and legal means
of having a presence in China, before set up own office

Nearly 200 companies and organisations have used the CBBC Launchpad® service. Over 80% of users
have proceeded to set up a China presence, the average stay being around 2 years
• CBBC launchpad offices in 13 cities across
China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen,
Chengdu, Wuhan, Qingdao, Nanjing, Shenyang,
Hangzhou, Xi’an, Chongqing, Guangzhou,
Changsha
• In the education sector, there are 15 Launchpad
existing users, and around 20 Launchpad

CBBC Select Business Scheme services facilitate visitors from Chinese
universities and businesses by simplifying application process

Select Business Scheme (SBS) and Select Business Scheme UK (SBS UK) are available to corporate
members of CBBC/BCCC. Reflecting the organisation’s status as a trusted partner of UKVI, we have
been recognised as one of only two organisations (the other is the CBI) whose corporate members have
the automatic right to join these schemes
