unparalleled financial partnership.

China recognises that London is one

of the most vibrant and important

financial centres. An increasing

number of Chinese financial

institutions have set their European

base in London. The Chinese

currency RMB has finally been

accepted as an IMF reserve currency.

As China continues to reform its

financial sector and the further

internationalisation of the RMB, there

will be more opportunities for foreign

financial institutions both onshore

and offshore

UK-China Economic and Financial Dialogue (EFD) China Market Advisory Group

CBBC supports Economic & Financial Dialogue (EFD),

government to government dialogue between UK & China

Set up by CBBC/the City UK and supported by other key partners

in business/government, the China Market Advisory Group acts

as a focal point for the private sector to work with business and

government effectively on key policy issues. It is also an

umbrella for driving key projects that create new and lasting

opportunities for developing dialogue and business between the

UK and China, including trade and investment priorities for the

world’s second largest market

CBBC published the first One Belt One Road Report, a

second report to be published in May 2016

In Feb 2014, Qingdao city was announced as China’s national-

level pilot for wealth management reform

June 29 - July 1, 2015, Qingdao government & business

delegation visited London & Edinburgh to meet industry experts

and study UK’s expertise in developing world-class financial

centres. The visit, CBBC helped to organise working closely

with British Embassy’s Outreach team in China, provided

access to key Qingdao decision-makers, showcased UK

expertise and resulted in strong support for UK business activity

in Qingdao

CBBC helps UK member companies to access emerging

new opportunities in China

In September 2015, CBBC released a comprehensive new

report on China's ambitious and complex "One Belt One Road"

initiative in partnership with the Foreign & Commonwealth

Office

Designed as a practical guide to where the opportunities lie for

UK companies, the report contains chapters on the seven key

sectors and 13 major regions to help you understand what the

implications are in your industry
