Evosmos is one of the municipalities of the agglomeration of Thessaloniki in the northwestern part of the city.

Τhe Municipality Kordelio-Evosmos dates back to the early 17th century. This settlement, known by the name Charmankioi , namesake of extensive Ottoman manor, located next to the road leading to the plain of Thessaloniki-Vitolia. Originally inhabited by a few families of 32 indigenous homes in the late 18th century.

The oldest building of Evosmos is the church of Agios Athanasios. It was built in the second decade of the 19th century.
