A few words about the Silkscreen method

The Silkscreen method was primarily used in the 9th century in China.It has been reinventing itself through movements such as Pop Art inthe 1960s. Great Artists including Andy Warhol use the Silkscreenmethod for the production of their art work.

The Silkscreen method demands a repeating series of necessary stepsand an experience eye for the right combination of colours. This is thesecret for an aesthetically pleasing result.

A Silkscreen image is made of, as many as 27 or more layers of colours.The colouring process is repeated from scratch each time. TheSilkscreen method takes up a large amount of time yet produces aunique picture of vibrant colours and a rich texture.

Important information

All silkscreens presented in this catalogue are framed. The frames of the artworks vary, as they havebeen carefully selected by our specialized framers in order to present each silkscreen in the bestpossible way while keeping the cost at a reasonable level.

It is possible to custom frame all silkscreens, based on individualschoice of frame, with the relevantchange in price. Silkscreens are not oered for sale unframed.

Most silkscreens are available in two dierent sizes and few in just one. The available sizes andprices are specied next to each image. As frame widths vary accordingly, the specied dimensionsdo not include framing. The framed artwork might be slightly bigger than indicated.

The silkscreens on pages 5 - 17 and page 25 are exclusive to the Loukia and Michael Zampelas ArtMuseum. The originals belong to the Museums collection.
