HELLENIC NUMISMATIC PROGRAM 2014

NEWSLETTER NO 2/2014

Dear Sir/Madam,The General Accounting Office (G.A.O.) of the Ministry of Finance is pleased to announce the Hellenic Numismatic Program of 2014 introducing the following products:

I. COMMEMORATIVE COINS

Commemorative 2€ Coin issued to commemorate the “400 YEARS SINCE THE DEATH OF DOMENIKOS THEOTOKOPOULOS”, with maximum mintage of 742.500 pieces.

Commemorative 2€ Coin issued to celebrate the “150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION OF THE IONIAN ISLANDS WITH GREECE”, with maximum mintage of 742.500 pieces.

Collectors’ blister skin pack with the 2€ Commemorative Coin issued to commemorate the “400 YEARS SINCE THE DEATH OF DOMENIKOS THEOTOKOPOULOS”, with maximum mintage of 7.500 pieces.

Collectors’ blister skin pack with the 2€ Commemorative Coin issued to celebrate the “150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE UNION OF THE IONIAN ISLANDS WITH GREECE” with maximum mintage of 7.500 pieces.

II. COLLECTORS COINS

Collector Coin with face value of 5€ commemorating the “20 YEARS SINCE THE DEATH OF MANOS HATZIDAKIS”, with maximum mintage of 7.500 pieces.

Gold Collector Coin with face value of 200€, dedicated to the “Hellenic Culture & Civilization - ARISTOTLE” with maximum mintage of 600 pieces.

Mini Gold Plus Collector Coin with face value of 100€, dedicated to the “Hellenic Mythology - 12 OLYMPIAN GODS – ZEUS” with maximum mintage of 1.000 pieces.

Mini Gold Collector Coin with face value of 50€, dedicated to the “CYCLADIC CULTURE & CIVILIZATION” with maximum mintage of 1.000 pieces.

Silver Collector Coin with face value of 10€, dedicated to the “GREEK PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION 2014” with maximum mintage of 5.000 pieces.

Silver Collector Coin with face value of 10€, dedicated to the “Hellenic Culture & Civilization” with two themes: “PHILOSOPHERS - ARISTOTLE” and “TRAGEDIANS - EURIPIDES” with maximum mintage of 1.200 pieces per theme.

III. COIN SERIES

Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) sets of Greek Euro Coins, containing the eight denominations, dedicated to “THRACE” with maximum mintage of 13.000 pieces.

PROOF COIN SET with all eight denominations of 2014 plus the two commemorative coins of 2€, with maximum mintage of 2.500 pieces.

The above numismatic products will be distributed by the Bank of Greece and its branches all over the country.

All relevant details concerning the dispensation of each product (e.g. price, date of dispensation, photos, terms of sale etc) will be disclosed in separate Ministry Announcements to follow.
