TransmissionsTechtronix 332 transmissionThe standard Techtronix 332transmission features three speedsforward and two speeds in reverse forexcellent gradeability and drawbar pullwhile allowing top travel speeds formaximum productivity. First gear alsooffers increased drawbar pull for useon gradients. Whilst second and thirdgears provide maximum engineefficiency in applications where longertravel distances are common.
Auto Deceleration (ADS)This is achieved through thecontrolled application of the clutchpacks to slow the truck down withoutthe need to apply the foot brake.
Controlled Power Reversal (CPR)Tyre spin is significantly reduced byprecisely regulating engine speed
during full power reversal situations.Tyre wear is proportionally decreased,reducing the number of replacementtyres required.
Controlled Roll Back (CRB)Roll back on gradients is limited to75mm per second making loadspotting and discharging of loads onramps and gradients easier and moreefficient.
Techronix 332+ TransmissionThe Techtronix 332+ has all thestandard Techtronix 332 transmissionfeatures plus Dynamic AutoDeceleration System (DADS) and AutoSpeed Hydraulics (ASH) withAutomatic Inching Control whichautomatically increases engine RPMas hydraulic functions are actuated,while maintaining control over vehiclespeed. The Throttle ResponseManagement feature (TRM) providestravel speed as a direct result of pedalposition, improving truck control.
A 100 mesh suction and 10 micronreturn line filtration system protect thetransmission from abrasivecontaminants.
Auto-Speed Hydraulics (ASH) withAutomatic Inching ControlWhen lifting a load, the engine speedis automatically increased to providefull hydraulic power. The IntelixVSM™ maintains the travel speed (orprevents travel) until the operatoractivates the accelerator. No operatorinching is required and productivity isincreased by simplifying operatoractions.
Throttle Response Management(TRM)This feature allows the operator tomanage his travel speed, accordingto the position of his foot on theaccelerator pedal. For example, travelspeed can be maintained both on thelevel and on a gradient, without theneed to depress the pedal further.The system also compensates forhydraulic operation and drawbar pull.
Dynamic Auto Deceleration System(DADS)This allows the operator to reduce thespeed of the truck without using thebrake. The rate of braking isdetermined by the programmabledashboard settings 1-10. The rate ofdeceleration can be controlled furtherby the rate at which the operatorreleases his foot from the acceleratorpedal.

Yale Veracitor VX SeriesThis series of trucks is designed toprovide excellent performance and isoptimized for lowest hourly cost ofoperation. An active regeneratingDiesel particulate filter significantlyreduces the number of servicesinterventions. DPF performance isconstantly monitored and displayedon supplemental display at operatoreye level.
Diesel EnginesThe Yale Veracitor Cummins QSB3.3Ldiesel turbo charged engine featuringlegendary Cummins reliability isoffered for the Veracitor Base modeland is available for unregulatedmarkets. The Yale Veracitot Value andProductivity models feature newStage IIIB compatible Kubota V3800E4 3.8L diesel engine or GM 5.7L V8LPG engine for regulated markets.
Low emission engines form KubotaThe Stage IIIB Kubota V3800 E4 3.8L(82 kW@2200rpm) diesel enginemeets the stringent emissionsregulations by using a number oftechnologies including cooled exhaustgas recirculation, charge air coolingand an active regenerating Dieselparticulate filter (DPF) which reducessoot levels by 90% to 0.025g/kWh.
Stage IIIB = Highproductivity and lowemissions. You canrecognize a low emissiontrucks by the Stage IIIBsymbol.NOTE: A Stage IIIB engine must run on UltraLow SulphurDiesel (ULSD) fuel, with amaximum of 15 ppm sulphur content. Dieselfuel with a higher sulphur content than 15ppmwill compromise the emissions performance ofthe Stage IIIB engine and may result in damageto components.
LPG EnginesThe Yale Veracitor VX GM VortecTM V8engine features a rigid cast iron blockand main bearing caps. The Nodulariron crankshaft is supported on fourmain bearings with a cast ironcamshaft. Hydraulic valve lifters areutilized to eliminate the need formanual adjustment. The GM enginesalso feature an electronic throttle forprecise performance and control.
Fuel System
The GM LPG engine uses a mixersystem. The system uses a vaporizerbuilt into the electronic pressureregulator to convert the fuel from aliquid to a gas and then precisely

The transmission also featureselectronic shift control, smoothelectronic inching, neutral startswitch, and anti-restart protection. Asingle pedal controls both inching andbraking.
Optional dual inch/brake pedals areavailable for operators who prefer thisdesign.
Cooling SystemThe modular radiator systemincorporates sections for enginecoolant, transmission oil and engineintake air. A 500mm diameter bladepusher-type fan provides coolingairflow. A permanently lubricatedwater pump and a high capacity,cross-flow radiator ensure rapid heatdissipation. The sealed coolingsystem operates at a pressure of 1.0bar and includes a coolant recoverytank for visual inspection of coolantlevel. The radiator is soft-mounted fordurability.
Drive AxleThe drive axles are designed towithstand heavy loads and absorbshocks. The wheel hubs rotate onlarge tapered roller bearings. Thedrive shaft transmits rotational torqueto the drive axle from the engine andtransmission. Transmission torque isdistributed through planetary gearreduction and an industrial hypoidring gear and pinion differentialassembly.
The drive axle is a “self contained”assembly that is isolated from thetransmission by the drive shaft andheavy-duty rubber isolators. The axleshafts utilise a “rolled fillet” root splinedesign for increased resistance totorsion stress. A magnetic sump plugis used to collect any metal particlesthat are circulating in the axle oil,preventing component wear.
BrakesOil immersed disc brakes arestandard and internal to the axle forenvironmental protection. The lowpedal effort brakes require noadjustment and very littlemaintenance, yet provide anextremely long service life.
Metered hydraulic oil pressure is usedto actuate the oil immersed discbrakes via a brake-pedal actuatedmodulating valve. This system yieldsconsistent pedal travel for optimumcontrol. The independent, handadjustable parking brake with push-
button release has an audible alarm toindicate when the operator has leftthe truck without applying the parkbrake.
SteeringHydraulic Power Steering (hydrostaticsteering) provides responsive controland eliminates mechanical linkagesfor reduced surface shock andsimplified maintenance. The steeringwheel is 30cm in diameter with atextured surface grip and spinnerknob, and requires only four turnslock-to-lock. The center mountedsteer cylinder is located within theconfines of the steer axle forprotection.
Steer AxleThe steer axle is constructed of castductile steel and is mounted onphenolic bushings, allowing excellentstability and axle articulation. Thesteer axle system features taperedspindle bearings and non-adjustabletie rod end for durability.
ChassisThe chassis designed by state-of-the-art finite element methods features25mm thick frame members andcontains a rugged, unitised framestructure with a low step for simpleentrance to the operator’scompartment. The ergonomicallydesigned overhead guard is bar typefor excellent visibility and reducednoise. Gull wing doors on both rightand left sides provide excellentaccess.
Operator’s CompartmentThe operator’s compartment featuresYale Accutouch minilever electro-hydraulic controls integrated into theoperator’s right-side armrestproviding superior ergonomics. Theautomotive-style pedal arrangementhas a large, single inch/brake pedal asstandard. Rubber floor mats reducenoise and vibration. The floorplate canbe removed without tools for excellentservice access. Low step height andconvenient hand grips provide easyentry and exit to and from the truckand superior reverse driving position.
Intellix Vehicle System ManagerThisis the master truck controller,providing extensive monitoring andcontrol of truck functions andsystems. CANbus technology reduceswiring complexity and enablescomprehensive communicationsbetween truck systems. The
ergonomically positioned dashdisplay transmits continual feedbackto the operator and allows forcommunication of service codes.Comprehensive on-board diagnosticsenable quick and easytroubleshooting. The electricalsystem features sealed connectorsand ‘Hall Effect’ sensors for superiordependability.
Hydraulic SystemThe hydraulic system incorporates agear type pump with a cast iron bodyfor quiet efficiency. The system isprotected from overloads by a mainrelief valve for the lift circuit and asecondary relief valve for tilt andauxiliary functions. Oil is doublefiltered through a 100 mesh suctionline strainer and 10 micron return linefilter. The hydraulic tank is integratedinto the frame. An emergencylowering valve is provided to allowthe load to be lowered in the event ofpower loss. O-ring face seal fittingsare used in all high pressure hydraulicconnections.
MastsYale Simplex LFL (Limited Free Lift)and Triplex FFL (Full Free Lift) mastsare available. The mast features pre-lubed and sealed full radius loadrollers that resist forward, rearwardand lateral forces. Side-thrust wearpads allow for periodic adjustmentfor lateral clearances. The rolled mastchannels are made of high strengthsteel to provide resistance to flaringof the mast channel. Wide (2.03m)hook-type carriages are standardequipment, providing great visibilityand the fitting of a wide variety offorks and attachments. Pin-typecarriages are also available.
