The new greases are resis- tant to a wide range of organic solvents and are said not to leak out of joints. In the lubrication of buret taps, resis- tance has been shown to acid and alkali solutions. One of the greases, AP 100, is a high vacuum grease for use down to 5 X 10-" torr at 15°C, with a soften- ing point of 30°C. The other, AP 101, is a general-purpose grease compa- rable in price to other laboratory greas- es. It is designed for moderate vacuum use down to 10 -1 torr and has a soften- ing point of 185°C.
