Wednesday, December 8th, at 11am, at the THEATRON cultural centre Hellenic Cosmos , 254 Pireos Street, 177 78 Tavros, Athens, Greece.Event introducing the new national export strategy of Greece.
The national export initiative represents a critical pillar of the governments strategy for economic development. Our goal is to realize a national plan for making Greek entrepreneurship more outward to the international economic environment.
The share of exports in the Greek GDP is just 8.7%. This is already increased since 2009 when it was standing at less than 8%. The respective figure for Spain is over 16%, for Portugal over 20%, for Ireland and the Netherlands over 50%.For the first time we establish a comprehensive plan to assist Greek enterprises to gain international competitiveness. All aspects of the national brand (exports, investments, tourism) will be supported by independent actions of the respective responsible agencies. However there will be coordination and synergies. Initiatives will either be implemented by the agencies themselves or will be outsourced. Quality will become the main advantage of the Greek products and services in order to create a solid brand for exports. We trust that focusing on quality is the way to
