OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTIONThe device should be used in order to protect the susceptible temperature sensors in or at the collector against induced overvoltages. In the case of local thunderstorms, voltage peaks which could destroy the sensor can be induced in the sensor cable. The protector diodes in the Overvoltage protection limit these overvoltages to a value harmless to the sensor. The best way to protect the sensor is to install this connecting box close to the sensor.
