The Company’s headquarters are located in Sindos, Thessaloniki – Greece, from where the daily production activities of the following industrial units are coordinated: In the Industrial Area of Komotini, in an area of 40.000 sq.mtrs., where the production unit of plastic pipes and fittings is located (PE, PB, PP-R & PVC). In Menidi, Attica, in an area of 6.000 sq.mtrs., where Interplast’s clientele customer service for Southern Greece is located, as well as the production unit of the brass fittings of its subsidiary ELVIOM S.A.

Our Certificates Interplast pipes and fittings meet and exceed the requirements set by the European EN standards, the internationally accepted German DIN standards, the Spanish UNE, the British BS and the American ASTM standards. The outcome of the aforementioned is that Interplast pipes and fittings are certified by the following organizations, having been awarded over 25 Certifications.

This is where the whole system gets certified under the most demanding conditions. Pipes and fittings operate under a constant pressure at 6bar in temperatures of 20 & 95oC that change every 15 minutes. This is repeated for 5,000 cycles of 15minutes each (52days). The aim is to draw conclusions for the duration of the installations (each day corresponds to one year under normal conditions). Brass Products

Interplast is one of the few companies in Europe with a vertically integrated production and the sole company in Greece that manufactures all the components of the system while offering a guarantee on the entire heating-plumbing installation. Its subsidiary ELVIOM S.A. manufactures brass fittings for Como-pex system. ELVIOM is a company with 50 years of experience in the production of brass fittings from materials in compliance with the European norms ΕΝ 12164, ΕΝ 12165, ΕΝ 12167 και ΕΝ 12168 and the DIN 50930/6 which specifies the brass composites for suitability of drinking water .

Manifolds

Regulating brass manifold The manifolds are manufactured of brass compliant to the European Norms EN 12167 and DIN 50930/6 which refer to the suitability of brass fittings for drinking water installations. The mechanisms in the manifold are vertically placed therefore increasing the circuits and improving flows. The manifolds are of bar type, thus during its rotation, the axis does not rise and fall but the only the valve does and also avoids the settling of salts in the O-rings, preventing thereby their deterioration. The manifolds are used in heating and plumbing installations of hot and cold water. They are produced in sizes 3/4'', 1" and 1 1/4" from 2 to 12 outlets with 24x19 or 3/4" threading.

PEX pipe connection fittings

The company manufactures a full range of connection fittings for cross-linked polyethylene pipes. Copper alloy CW617N. More specifically, the following are produced: • Male, female and connection coupling. • Male, female and connecting tee. • Male, female and connecting elbow. • Wall plate elbow. • Mini ball valves for plastic pipe.

Wall Plate Elbows

Three type of wall plate elbows offering several solutions. In the 105o and 92o wall plate elbows by using the reducing sleeve in the lower part of the wall plate elbow we prevent any “water dripping out” from the corrugated pipe in case of leakage. The 92o wall plate elbow constitutes an ideal solution for connection radiators from the wall, offering a very nice aesthetic result.

Electro-valves

The Flash Valve electro-valve is manufactured in compliance to stringent criteria, following European Union specifications (implementation of EU directive 73/23) and bears the CE mark, certified by the Labor SA laboratory. It has a Cruzet motor and a ratchet type integrated mechanical brake. The Flash Valve electro-valve has a high torque of 17.9 Nm, certified according to “prony brake”, which rotates the valve's ball even in difficult situations, thus preventing problems in the motor.

Radiator valves (Simple, Thermostatic, Runtal, Mono-tube system, Ventil, Towel radiator)

Full range with very high product characteristics. All the radiator valves are of heavy type with PTFE nipple sealing, big flows, bar type mechanism (as the wheel turns only the valve moves, while the axis does not move up and down). The radiator valves have high flow and are designed for transferring large thermal loads. The Thermostatic radiator valves have been certified as Energy Class A.

Linear thermal elongation rate, a= 0,035 mm /m oC The polypropylene used for the three layer Aqua-Plus-FG pipes (with fiber mechanical aid in the middle layer), is characterized as polypropylene Random of special crystallinity (PP-R 112) and due to its high mechanical strengths (especially at high temperatures) and due to its long life span is classed according to DIN 8077/78 (2007 version) in the category MRS 11.2 MPa (PP-R 112), in contrast to the simple PP-R which is classed in the category MRS 8.0 MPa (PP-R 80).

The fittings are manufactured in accordance with DIN 16962 from Polypropylene Random (Type 3) and available in dimensions from 20 mm to 160 mm. For their production the company uses raw material with a low melt flow index, identical to that of its pipes so that the mechanical strength of the pipe does not differ from that of the fittings. They are produced with a wall thickness equivalent to 25 bar. Reinforced pressure tests (80 bar compared to 64 bar for the PN20 series). The PP-R overlaps the male brass inserts on the inside. The brass parts are reinforced, heavy-duty and low hardness (105 Brinell) thus eliminating the possibility of cracking, which is particularly common in fittings with female threading. Geothermy Polyethylene ø25 pipe (for horizontal geo-exchanger) and ø32 pipe with welded probe (for vertical geo-exchanger). Main feature of the pipe of the exchanger is its increased times resistance to adverse operating conditions and the high thermal conductivity of the Geo-Flex pipes (λ=0,862 W / moC, as has been measured by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), which is 110% higher than the common7/84152014578/120. polyethylene pipes (λ = 0,410 W / moC - DIN 8075). Interplast has managed to achieve this enhanced property by using special additives in the manufacturing process of the pipes. The high thermal conductivity of the Geo-Flex pipes renders them ideal for geothermal applications because the heat transfer from the earth to the building has the highest efficiency. Geothermal Water-to-Water heat Pumps made by Clivet from 7 - 300 kWth. The geothermal water-to-water heat pump, with the aid of its two exchangers, supplies hot or cold water to the internal heating-cooling installation (underfloor heating, fan coil units, low temperature radiators, etc.) The geothermal heat pumps produce temperatures in the range of 5 to 60oC. They are specially designed for underfloor heating applications, providing the required temperatures of 35 to 48oC and for cooling (7 to 18oC), ensuring a high coefficient of performance (COP up to 6.5) with the lowest consumption. Polypropylene manifolds. The manifold body is available in ø63 and in ø75 and with ¾” and 1” supply saddles. The outlets depend on the circuits we shall install in the subsoil. They also have a mounted airvent and an extra valve for filling the geo-exchanger. Weight for the installation of the vertical geo-exchanger, which is attached to the probe and helps in the installation of the pipes in the bore hole. Spacer for vertical circuit piping, placed on the group of four pipes that are installed in each bore hole and keeps them at a fixed distance.

The pipes are produced in 3m straight sections and exceed the European standard ΕΝ 1329. The pipes are regularly checked by ELOT (Greek Standardization Organization) and the results are available to any interested parties. Furthermore, the company also has fittings for the according pipes which are produced according to the European Norm ΕΝ1329-2. Floor siphon Interplast’s floor siphon is manufactured in two types, one with a Ø50 outlet and the other with a Ø63/75 outlet. The body of the siphon is made of PVC, while the remaining parts are made of polypropylene, rendering it suitable for connecting to any type of sewage pipes.
