•Having the full support of the Hellenic Wrestling Federation (HWF), has HSFD prepared this Bid for organizing this great sports event. The hosting of a Championships and moreover specifically Wrestling Deaf Championship will both bring to Deaf/Hard of Hearing Society and generally Disabled People in Greece, firstly support, visibility and recognition of the value of Deaf Sport and secondly the opportunity for the first time in the history of Deaf Sports, to be hosted in our country, one of the oldest individual sports in the History.

Our Federation has great experience in organizing many European and World Events. Since its establishment had managed to organize the below six (6) European Deaf Championships:

1. European Deaf Orienteering Championship, Trikala 1998 2. European Deaf Athletics Championships, Piraeus 1999 3. European Deaf Basketball Championships, Athens 2000 4. European Deaf Swimming Championships, Thessaloniki 2006 5. European Deaf Beach Volleyball Championships, Chalkida

2007 6. European Deaf Bowling Championship, Athens 2010 And these two (2) World Deaf Championships:1. World Deaf Basketball Championships, Athens 2002 2. World Deaf Football Championships, Patra 2008
