NEPTUNE CHEMICAL FEED UNIT a complete system for precisely regulating additives to continuous flow processes
The NEPTUNE proportioning system is precision engineered for accuracy, and a longer operating life. It offers several improved features—including auto-mafic controls—that are not found on many more expensive units.
O T H E R FEATURES I N C L U D E :
• Corrosion resistant, stainless steel piston valves and ball checks; heavy gauge construction throughout.
• Easy control of feed—simply adjust calibrated scale on the eccentric.
• Constant solution strength is assured as agitator prevents precipitates from settling.
• " Y " type strainer protects pump from harmful solids.
Tank, agitator and pump are combined in one smooth operating system that precisely proportions anything from treating chemicals, such as calgon, to petroleum distillates.

The most successful of several reaction vessels they tried was a modified Erlenmeyer flask with an internal cooling coil. This was placed so that the light from the solar furnace mirror entered the vessel normal to the conical top and came to a focus inside the space enclosed by the cooling coil. Ice water pumped through the coil was sufficient to keep the temperature in the reaction vessel as low as 10° C.
By plotting reaction time against oxygen evolved, they were able to demonstrate a zero-order initial reaction rate. In other words, even with the light concentration possible

SRI's solar furnace
in the solar furnace all of the photo-chemically active light is absorbed by the eerie ions.
The dual function of the solar furnace can be simply expressed. If the concentrated rays from the sun fall on a black body, a high temperature is produced; if they fall on an object or a reaction system which absorbs largely in the visible and ultraviolet parts of the spectrum, little increase in temperature results.
Marcus and Wohlers suggest that this aspect of the solar furnace should have some worthwhile applications. Industrial photochemical reactions, for example, need a cool
