What is Christian Stewardship?

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” Colossians 3:23

Christian Stewardship is…

…learning how to be a responsible and concerned caretaker of Christ’s Church; it is learning how to enjoy Church life and be happy in Church work, for in Her dwells the fullness of the Spirit of God.

…our active commitment to use all our time, talent and treasure for the benefit of humankind in grateful acknowledgment of Christ’s redeeming love.

…caring for the needs of others.

…offering one’s self to God as He offered Himself to us.

…what a person does after saying “I believe…” as proof of that belief.

…devotion and service to God and His Church as persons, as families, as metropolis and as Church Universal.

Seven sayings of Jesus on the cross * Οι επτά φράσεις του Χριστού στον σταυρό.

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do * «Πάτερ, ἄφες αὐτοῖς˙ οὐ γὰρ οἴδασι τί ποιοῦσι»

"Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." * «Ἀµὴν λέγω σοι, σήµερον µετ’ ἐµοῦ ἔση ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ»

Jesus said to his mother: "Woman, this is your son." Then he said to the disciple: "This is your mother." * «Γύναι, ἴδε ὁ υἱός σου»

Eli [Eloi] Lama sabachthani. My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” * «Θεέ µου, Θεέ µου, ἱνατί µὲ ἐγκατέλιπες;»

"I thirst." * «Διψῶ»

"Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." When Jesus had received the wine, he said, "It is finished;" and he bowed his head and

handed over the spirit. «Πάτερ, εἰς χεῖρας σου παρατίθεµαι τὸ πνεῦµά µου»

When Jesus had received the wine, he said, "It is finished;" «Τετέλεσται»
