TUUMU Balance Flow Meter LMK800 Series Overview The balance (orifice plate with a plurality of holes) is the third-generation throttling device and is a revolutionary differential pressure type flow instrument. The flow noise of the balance flow meter is reduced to 1/15, the permanent pressure loss is about 1/3, the pressure can be recovered, and the minimum straight pipe section can be smaller than 0.5 D; it is provided with no mobile parts, being very simple in installation and application, convenient to use and install, capable of saving large straight pipe sections and largely reducing the power consumption needed during fluid operation and being the throttling instrument with wide application prospect. Measurement Range The balance flow sensor is a disc throttling rectifier with a plurality of holes and is installed on the cross section of the pipeline. The size and location of each hole are customized based on the unique formula and measured data and the holes are called as the function holes. When the fluid passes the function holes of the disc, the fluid is balanced and adjusted, the vortex is minimized and the almost ideal gas is formed. Most standard throttling devices used currently have large permanent pressure loss due to the facts that only one hole is provided and many vortexes are formed in the dead corners at both sides of the holes to consume the kinetic energy of the fluid; the noises formed by the random and disordered vortexes cause the fluctuation of the pressure measurement point and the measurement linearity and repeatability are reduced; a quite long direct pipe section is needed for the one-hole structure to clear up and recover the pressure. According to the actual calibration, the precision of the sensor can reach ± 0.3% and ± 0.5% and the sensor is suitable for the occasion for trade calculation; With the physical dimension test, the precision of the sensor can reach ± 0.5% and± 1.0% and the sensor is suitable for the occasion of process control. The processing repeatability of the balance flow meter is quite high and similar to the traditional throttling device, being capable of achieving the verification of the physical dimension on the basis of actual flow calibration data. ● Less permanent pressure loss The balance structure of a plurality of holes of the balance flow meter reduces the formation of the vortexes and the turbulence friction, reduces the kinetic energy loss and reduces the permanent energy loss by 2.5 times compared with the traditional throttling device under the condition that the differential pressure of the same measurement operation condition is not reduced and therefore the meter is an energy-saving instrument which saves large amount of operation kinetic energy cost and is worth being promoted. ● Wide range ratio Compared with the traditional throttling device, the balance flow meter is capable of largely increasing the measurement range ratio. It is showed by the research result that when the Reynolds number is larger than 5000, the range ratio of the balance flow sensor has no upper limit with the proper aperture parameter selected. According to the actual application in the industrial measurement, the normal measurement range ratio is 10:1 and can reach 30:1, 50:1 or higher with proper parameters selected. ● Good repeatability and long-term stability The balance flow sensor is capable of stabilizing the flow field and enables the repeatability to be largely improved and reach 0.1%. The plurality of circulation holes of the balance flow meter burden the force in a decentralization mode, acute angle abrasion does not occur, the p value is maintained the same in the long run, so the long-term stability is quite good; the meter is not provided with movable parts and the service life is prolonged by 5-10 times compared with that of the traditional throttling device. Balance Flow Meter LMK800 Series

Overview

The balance (orifice plate with a plurality of holes) is the third-generation throttling device and is a revolutionary differential pressure type flow instrument. The flow noise of the balance flow meter is reduced to 1/15, the permanent pressure loss is about 1/3, the pressure can be recovered, and the minimum straight pipe section can be smaller than 0.5 D; it is provided with no mobile parts, being very simple in installation and application, convenient to use and install, capable of saving large straight pipe sections and largely reducing the power consumption needed during fluid operation and being the throttling instrument with wide application prospect.

Measurement Range

The balance flow sensor is a disc throttling rectifier with a plurality of holes and is installed on the cross section of the pipeline. Main Characteristics of the Balance Flow Meter

●Requirement for short straight pipe section The balance flow meter is capable of balancing and stably adjusting the flow field, and the pressure recover is 2 times quicker than that of the traditional throttling device and the requirement for the straight pipe section is largely reduced. Generally, the front straight pipe section is 3D and the back straight pipe section is 1D, with the minimum of less than 0.5D. ● Wide measurement rangeAccording to the test result, we understand that the performance of the balance flow meter enables its flow rate to reach the velocity of sound; the minimum Reynolds number can be +200 and the maximum Reynolds number is larger than 107; and the β value is between 0.25- 0.90. ● Wide application range The temperature and pressure of the balance flow meter depend on the material quality and the grade of the pipeline and the flange and can respectively reach 850 ℃ and 42Mpa. The flow meter is suitable for the super-low temperature fluid, such as the liquid air, the liquid nitrogen, the liquid oxygen, the liquid argon, the liquid ethylene, the liquid hydrogen, the liquid chlorine and is good in the measurement quality. The balance flow meter can measure the gas-liquid two-phase materials, the sizing materials and even the solid particles. The balance flow meter is completely bilaterally symmetrical and therefore can conveniently measure the bi-directional flow. ● Energy-saving flow meter The energy-saving instruments are needed to build the energy-saving and environment-friendly harmonious society. The balance flow meter is a unique energy-saving differential pressure flow meter. As a measurement element, the flow meter itself is also an energy consumption element. The operation cost of the flow meter includes the measurement precision cost and the media transmitting cost. Integrated balance flow meter 1. Constitution The integrated balance flow meter comprises the pressure introducing pipe and the tri-valve set, the differential pressure transmitter (the normal differential pressure transmitter and the multi-variable differential pressure transmitter can be selected as the differential pressure transmitter). 2. Technical indexes Precision: ± 1% Power supply: DC15V-45VTwo-wire system, 4-20mA output (Hart), others refer to the differential pressure transmitter indexes 3. Advantages Advantages when the normal differential pressure transmitter is installed: ● Cost advantage:When the normal differential pressure transmitter is installed, the 4-20mA signal which is in square relation with the flow can be output and then sent to the computer or the flow accumulation calculator to calculate the flow in a radication mode. And 4-20mA can be output. ● Precision advantages: The real-time full-parameter dynamic numeric compensation technology: the achievement of the temperature compensation is a basic function of the integrated balance flow meter. The normal flow accumulation calculator can also fulfill the function and the difference is that the integrated balance flow meter adopts the real-time output. 4. Schematic diagram of multivariable integrated balance flow meter The full-parameter dynamic numeric compensation is not the mapping type parameter correction of the normal accumulation calculator. ● Function advantages: Due to the adoption of multiple parameters and the Hart communication, the user can measure a plurality of parameters with one flow meter. The integrated balance flow meter installed in the site can be remotely operated through a PC in the control room and can also be adjusted when connected in the manual manipulator in the portable state. In addition, the local button mode of the integrated balance flow meter can enable the user to directly set through the buttons in the site. The integrated balance flow meter integrates the key functions of the flow accumulation calculator and simplifies the compensation calculation function of the DCS or the secondary table. When 4-20mA is used as the transmitting signal, the DCS or the secondary table is only needed to have the accumulation/alarm/recording and power supply functions; and when the Hart is used in the system as the transmitting signals, the second/third and fourth measurement of the transmitter can be continuously traced and monitored. Cost advantages: One integrated balance flow meter is a transmitter which can output flow, pressure, temperature and other parameters and can save the purchase cost.Fewer transmitters, less wiring and fewer switch valves save the installation cost. The transmitter directly outputs the instant or the accumulative flow, the system resources of the flow accumulation calculator is simplified, the connection of DCS is more convenient and the system cost is saved. The procedures can be customized according to the specific demand, the added value of the software can be increased, the secondary table is not needed to be purchased and the hardware cost is saved.
