The Model Β has better ultra- violet performance . . . better resolution . . . better wave-length and photometric accuracy . . . and more freedom from stray light than any instrument in its field. Both transmission and absorbance measure- ments can be made directly on liquid, solid and gaseous samples. Direct reading wave length scale—320 to 1000 millimicrons. Photometric accuracy to 0.5% transmission or 1% absorbance. Negligible stray light—less than \ λ Α% at 320 millimicrons. Resolution permits less than 5 millimicrons spectral band width over most of spectral range. Accommodates large cells up to 50 mm path length in standard cell carrier. Accessories to permit a wide variety of types of measurements can be added later. H-59525 Beckman Model Β Spectrophotometer $585.00 For operation from 115 volt 60 cycle AC line. The AC amplifier contains an excellent voltage regulation circuit such that line voltage varia- tions of 10% from 115 volts will not interfere with the accuracy of measurement. For addi- tional accuracy a constant voltage transformer or battery is recommended. For work requiring extra accuracy between 220 and 1000 millimicrons, the Beckman DU Spectrophotometer is recommended. Prices subject to change without notice. The New B E C K M A N M O D E L " B " SPECTROPHOTOMETER For process control and many types of research work

The new Model Β Spectrophotometer is a low priced precision instrument designed to facilitate rapid routine spectrophotometric analyses for process control as well as many types of research work. The Model Β has better ultraviolet performance . . . better resolution . . . better wave-length and photometric accuracy . . . and more freedom from stray light than any instrument in its field. Both transmission and absorbance measurements can be made directly on liquid, solid and gaseous samples. Direct reading wave length scale—320 to 1000 millimicrons. Photometric accuracy to 0.5% transmission or 1% absorbance.

Negligible stray light—less than \λΑ% at 320 millimicrons. Resolution permits less than 5 millimicrons spectral band width over most of spectral range. Accommodates large cells up to 50 mm path length in standard cell carrier. Accessories to permit a wide variety of types of measurements can be added later.

For operation from 115 volt 60 cycle AC line. The AC amplifier contains an excellent voltage regulation circuit such that line voltage variations of 10% from 115 volts will not interfere with the accuracy of measurement. For additional accuracy a constant voltage transformer or battery is recommended.

For work requiring extra accuracy between 220 and 1000 millimicrons, the Beckman DU Spectrophotometer is recommended.
