The complete activation analysis laboratory shown, the 9601 system, includes irradiation, sample handling, and counting equipment. The laboratory is built around a newly-developed T(d,n) accelerator, Series 9900, capable of producing a 4 pi yield of 2.5 χ 1 0 u neutrons per second and a fast flux of 5 χ ΙΟ9 η c m r 2 sec.-1
The 9601 is a complete data acquisit ion system for the reduction of complex gamma-ray spectra in activation analysis studies. The counting system may be used for a broad range of analyses. The 9601 system consists of a dual scinti l lation detector assembly, rapid transfer and system programmer, 400 channel pulse-height analyzer, multiscaler programmer, high voltage pov/er supply, digital printer, and flux monitoring system. Texas Nuclear Corp., P. O. Box 9267 , Austin 17, Texas. 422
The Model 102 portable ratiometer shown indicates voltage-ratio or resistance-ratio of potentiometers, and output of potentiometric transducers, within ± 0 . 0 3 % FS on digi tal . It operates from a built-in long-life battery and cannot damage or burn out sensitive resistance elements. Pacific Metrology Laboratories, Inc., P. 0 . Box 3552 , San Diego 3, Calif. 423
PLOT YOUR WAY WITH XRD! Get maximum flexibility right from the start with General Electric x-ray chemical analysis
When you buy an XRD x-ray emission instrument you make an investment for the future. A wide range of interchangeable components and accessories allows you to tailor your analysis to exact requirements. From small to large, from liquid to solid, G-E x-ray spectrometers can do the job for you. You can analyze 50 micron areas with the G-E miniature probe; handle 8"x5"x2%" samples with the bulk sample holder; analyze liquids with the G-E liquid sample holder. The XRD flexibility covers the periodic table from Mg. up. Select power supplies, x-ray tube targets, counter tubes, preamplifiers and radiation read-out systems, all with ability to convert to diffraction techniques. Get complete information from your local G-E x-ray representative. Or write to X-Ray Department, General Electric Company, Milwaukee 1, Wisconsin for a copy of Pub. UU-104.
