Ascentis Express 5 µm columns provide a new choice for improving the performance of traditional HPLC systems. Ascentis Express provides the benefits of high speed and high efficiencies without the concerns of smaller particle columns. Due to the high efficiencies at low backpressures, Ascentis Express 5 µm columns can benefit conventional HPLC users with no drawbacks.

Ascentis® Express 5 µmAchieve Faster Separations with No Backpressure Concerns
With the addition of the 5 micron particle to the Ascentis Express product line, end users can now boost the performance of their legacy HPLC systems and effortlessly transfer methods to any site or CRO with no concerns of incompatibility. The Ascentis Express product line is scalable from UHPLC to legacy HPLC systems. Furthermore, these columns provide researchers interested in ultra-high resolution HPLC the ability to reach new levels of resolution through column coupling, due to their low backpressure.

Small Diffusion PathThe new Fused-Core® particle consists of a 3.3 μm solid core and a 0.6 μm porous shell. A major benefit of the Fused-Core particle is the small diffusion path (0.6 μm) compared to conventional fully porous particles. The short diffusion path reduces axial dispersion of solutes and minimizes peak broadening. In fact, Ascentis Express 5 μm columns are able to achieve greater speed and efficiency than any other 5 μm particle based column. This means that Ascentis Express 5 μm becomes the standard column for all of your 5 μm based methods.
Beyond the new standard column for all 5 μm based methods, Ascentis Express 5 μm columns are excellent choices for bioanalytical LC/MS methods. These columns excel under high flow rates and the high throughput demands of these methods. Furthermore, the large particle format provides an extremely rugged HPLC column.
Now available in a total of eight different phases: C18, F5, C8, Pheny-Hexyl, ES-Cyano, HILIC (Si), RP-Amide, and OH5Available in 17 dimensions from 2 cm x 2.1 mm I.D. to 25 cm x 4.6 mm I.D. and a total of eight phases makes the conversion of current methods seamless.
