AGROTICA to the SUPERLATIVE degree

One of the largest exhibition brands in the agriculture sector, both in the Balkan and the European market, AGROTICA, is still a clear leader after 28 years, and it is getting set for its next event at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, from 30 January to 2 February 2020.

With an intensely internationalised profile and a representative presenta-tion of global technology from the entire spectrum of agricultural entre-preneurship, AGROTICA has raised the bar and increased volumes sky-high. Surpassing all precedent, during the four-day event last year it welcomed 143,754 visitors – recording more than a 100% increase in international hosted buyers – while it welcomed more than 1950 (direct and indirect) exhibitors and housed them in 60,000 square metres of exhibition spaces.

Taking into account the dynamism that this trade fair has developed, es-pecially over the past 5 years, forecasts unreservedly foresee success with increased volumes for the 2020 event. Important agriculture supply and machinery trade and sales leaders have already expressed an interest in participating, as have representative houses of the largest companies in the sector, globally.

At the same time, a series of noteworthy side events are being held, which aim at enriching the exhibition event, developing networking hubs, and highlighting the scientific and research work of the educational foundations and agencies, with the 8th Pan-Hellenic Conference of the 28th AGROTICA standing out, along with other innovative initiatives.

It should be noted that select international hosted buyers from 30 countries were welcomed in the hosted buyers’ programme of this major event. In combination with domestic visitors, they turned Thessaloniki into an “exhi-bition tourism destination”, creating a fiesta-like atmosphere and intense commercial activity.
