CD2, also known as LFA-2, is a member of the immunoglobulin gene family with an approximate molecular weight of 45 kD� It is expressed on thymocytes, peripheral T cells, dendritic epider-mal T cells, macrophages in the spleen, and NK cells� CD2 can as-sociate with the T cell receptor and participate in T cell activation through adhesion and signal transduction� CD2 binds to CD48, CD58, and CD59�

CD103, also known as Integrin αE2, is expressed on the major-ity of dendritic cells from rat lymphoid organs (such as spleen, lymph, lymph nodes, thymus) and nonlymphoid organs� OX-62 antigen is also expressed by dendritic epidermal γδ T cells and in-traepithelial T cells in intestine, but not by skin Langerhans cells and plasmacytoid dendritic cells� Among in vitro-generated DCs, it has been reported that a proportion of dendritic cells induced by GM-CSF and gelatin-coated flasks, or by flt-3 ligand (FL), GM-CSF, and IL-4 express OX-62� However, the dendritic cells obtained from culture with GM-CSF and IL-4 do not express OX-62 antigen�

PCNA, also known as DNA polymerase δ auxiliary protein, is a 36 kD trimeric ring that acts as a DNA-polymerase sliding clamp ex-pressed in the nucleus of all proliferating cells� A prime function of PCNA appears to be increasing DNA polymerase δ processibility during elongation of the leading strand� PCNA is a useful marker for DNA synthesis and is highly conserved among most species, thus highlighting the very broad reactivity of this antibody�
