-‐    Forest  soils  and  forest  ecosystem  ecology  (dynamics);  -‐    Air  pollution  and  forest  ecosystems;

-‐  Impacts  of  atmospheric  nitrogen  and  sulphur  deposition  on  soil  dynamics  and  forest/grassland  ecosystems;

-‐  Application  of  dynamic  models  in  assessment  of  critical  loads  for  air  pollutant  deposition  (nitrogen,  sulphur...);

-‐   Assessment   of   potential   plant   species   diversity,   using   soil-‐vegetation   model     VSD+PROPS,   VSD-‐Veg,  according  climate  change  on  future  soil  condition  scenarios.

       Willing  to  collaborate  on:    -‐    Forest  soil,  biogeochemical  cycling  (weathering  rates,  forest  nutrition,  mineral  cycling);

-‐    Carbon  sequestration  in  forests  and  forest  soils;

-‐    Soil  condition  (Ellenberg  indices)  and  plant  competitiveness  in  (semi)  natural  ecosystems;  -‐    Quantifying  the  critical  loads  and  risks  posed  by  air  pollution  (ozone,  deposition  of  heavy  metals,  nitrogen  and  persistent  organic  pollutants  (POPs))  to  vegetation.
