SYSTEM CONSTRUCTIONSVieoZinc can be used in the construction of cold andwarm Vieo roofs. It has also been used on walls as adecorative or rainscreen cladding option to great visualeffect. Warm roofs are Part L compliant and can be fixedover timber decks, structural insulated panels (SIP) oreven over metal liners and structural decks.

WEATHERINGVieoZinc has a natural zinc element which means that theweathering process and the speed of weathering will bedependent on the building location and the atmosphericconditions around the building. If VieoZinc is installed inrural, city centre or marine environments the final toneand the rate of weathering will differ significantly. A citycentre location will promote a very quick weatheringprocess, potentially achieving most of its tonal shadewithin the first 6 months of installation, dependent onprevailing conditions. By contrast VieoZinc installed in a rural setting will experience considerably more time to achieve similar levels of weathering.

Vieo can be manufactured from VieoZinc in any widthfrom 200mm up to 517mm and in 0.9mm gauge.

Standard widths and thicknesses are based on optimalmaterial utilisation. Other widths can be manufacturedsubject to requirements, additional costs and waste.

Vieozinc is an attractive material that looks, weathers andperforms just like zinc but costs around half the price*.

The zinc in the coating does not leach and the aluminiumsubstrate is one of the most sustainable metals; arguablythe most recycled metal in the construction industry.

The factory manufacture and mechanical fixing of Vieocontributes to a significant reduction in time onsitecompared to traditional methods. Less time onsite fixingthe product can result in cost savings when consideringthe overall 'supply and fix' price.

VieoZinc features a real zinc layer over aluminium. By using a polyurethane coating which is impregnatedwith zinc particles in the top-coat, VieoZinc benefitsfrom the appearance of zinc and also features itsweathering behaviour. EDGEHILL UNIVERSITY STUDENT ACCOMMODATION

“The original specification called for 1000m2 of traditional Zinc standingseam to match in with all the remaining buildings within the UniversityCampus. The University is set within both a greenbelt and conservationarea and local planning would not allow an industrial looking roof to beconstructed. With the help of Euroclad and their traditional Vieo systemwe were able to offer the client a cost effective but very muchaesthetically similar alternative to the traditional zinc system originallyspecified.
