12. 12. January A team of teachers and students of the Gymnasium of Geri, Nicosia, Cyprus visited our school in place of a bilateral exchange during 19th and 23rd January. 13. 13. Educational project related to Art. Students had the opportunity to learn about art, to participate in creative activities and to draw. The teachers and the students from Cyprus participated, too. . . . , , . January
14. 14. An excursion to Lake Carla. Carla is a tectonic draught at the first period of the Quaternary era. There is an archaeological site with many mythological, historical and folkloric elements. The colleagues and the students from Cyprus came with us. We all had the opportunity to visit the Museum and see the exhibition of the civilization had been developed there. . . . . January
15. 15. On 30th January we celebrate three saints of our church who lived on 4th century. They are honored for their wisdom and for the rich literature work they donated to us. This day the ceremony takes place at the basilica of St. Barbara close to school. 30 . 4 . . January
16. 16. February We celebrated the Carnival in our school. Gaitanaki is a traditional carnival dance. There is a rod with many colored stripes around it. Each child keeps one of them and dances in a particular way. . . , . .

The students took part in planned activities on dancing and painting, which were intended to help them perceive the way each painter approaches art. The students themselves, through a game of imagination, based on some details of the paintings, created their own work.

22. 22. On 25th March is the anniversary of the declaration of the start of Greek War of Independence, also known as Greek Revolution, from the Ottoman Empire, in 1821. Consecration On the 11th September it was the beginning of our school year and according to the Greek custom of consecration, the priest of our local church gave wishes to pupils ad teachers for a happy new school year. All different All equal In our school yard all pupils celebrated the Day Against Racism by practicing in some activities and games such as basketball, volleyball, relays. A visit to an old factory On November 18th 2014, we visited an old factory. We saw some old machinery, we hears a lot about of the factorys history. We also made some little houses with small pieces of bricks. It was a very exciting visit and we all enjoyed that very much.

29. 29. National Day On 28th October is our national day. On that day in 1940 Greece entered to 2nd World War against Fascism and Nazism. Our students took part in a parade in honour this anniversary. Comenius meeting Two teachers of our school attended the Comenius meeting in Izmit, Turkey, in order to evaluate the project and plan the works for the second year. A visit to the Greek House of Parliament On Octomber 10th, 2014 the 6th grate of our school visited the Greek House of Parliament. Up to 1858 this building used to be a palace. We attended a session, we met some Members of the Parliament and also the Chairman. It was unforgettable experience. Kids Athletics A team event for children Our students got familiar with Kids Athletics, a team event for children. They practiced on running, jumping, kids javelin throw, hurdles, relay, long jump.

32. 32. A visit to a theatre The 3rd and the 4th classes attended the theatrical play The Little Prince, written by Antoine de Saint Exupery and everybody enjoyed it very much. A national anniversary On November 17th it was the 42nd anniversary of the students protest (revolution) against dictatorship. We sang songs, read poems and real life stories but mostly we learnt a lot about our history.

35. 35. Information on safe web browsing Our school participated in a teleconference on safe internet browsing . The teleconference took the form of lecture . Children had the opportunity to submit written questions to the speaker. The responsibility of the event were the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Order and Citizen Protection , Department of Electronic Crime and the Greek School Network. A visit to the weather station We visited the weather station unit, where the experts told us how a weather report comes out. We saw tools as rain gauge, anemometer, hygrometer etc. It was a wonderful day full of experiences..

A visit to an Entomological Museum We visited an Entomological Museum and we saw a great collection of colorful butter flies all around the world, and a lot of species of different insects such ass beatles and bees. A theatrical performance " The heart of the princess ' The children of first and second class had the opportunity to watch the play "The heart of the princess ." The play was based on the novel of the Greek author Delta Penelope. At the end the children were photographed with the actors on stage . The celebration of the Three Hierarchs On the 30th January we celebrated the Three Hierarchs. We went to church and the priest talked about the life of these three saints.

41. 41. Carnival celebration For the celebration of Carnival children of the 5th and 6th grades have prepared a choreography . We were dressed up and we were dancing in our school yard . We had a lot of fun. A visit to a traditional musical instruments exhibition In February we visited the Giorgio de Chirico museum, where. there was a music instrumentals exhibition. E saw lots of traditional Greek instruments such as lauto (an old guitar) lyre, violin a santouri and a kanonaki (other instruments). We had the chance to play some musical instruments and it was great.

44. 44. Lyravlos - Musical Instruments recycled On Friday, March 13th 2015. we had a unique musical experience. The team "Lyravlos" visited us and gave the performance " The sound recycling. " Children had the magical experience to see how 40 everyday objects can be transformed into musical instruments and play exquisite music. Under the slogan "do not throw anything, recycle music 'children participated in an interactive show filled with music, songs, humor and inventiveness. A visit to the natural history museum A paleontologist visited our school and informed us about the geological evolution of our prefecture, Magnesia. We saw a presentation and we took part in an experiential working with fossils found in our region. We visited the Museum where we admired the exhibits.

47. 47. Crafts for Easter The students of the 6th grade made candles for Easter . Then they sold them and they donated the money to the institution ' White Butterflies , an institution for children with disabilities A visit to the institution " White butterflies " The pupils of the 6th donated money to the institution " White Butterfly ". They delighted that they gave joy to these people and they hoped to a better future for them.

50. 50. Acquaintance of the place of Gymnasium The children of 6th grade visited the Gymnasium which will attend next year. The director of the school welcomed and guided the pupils and students the school grounds ( gym, music room , physics and chemistry , technology , library etc .) Teleconferences with partner schools In place of the Comenius project, students held two teleconferences with the students of the " ,Dobrich , Bulgaria and the students of the school Ulubatl Hasan ilkokulu, Izmit , Turkey. The children had the pleasure to exchange a brief greeting and a song with the students of both schools .
