1) FROM THESSALONIKI Airport in Greece

Local Transport Connection to the city center: The airport is served on a 24-hour basis by OASTH (Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization), with bus numbers 78/78A/78N providing direct access to the Macedonia InterCity Bus Terminal (KTEL), which lies in the west side of the city, at Giannitson st 194. Public transport – Bus (Thessaloniki). Bus number 78 has a frequency of between 15 min and 30 min during the day, while number 78A terminates at A.S. IKEA bus terminal, in the city's east. At night, the bus number changes to 78N and runs every 30 min through Thessaloniki, between the airport and Macedonia InterCity Bus Terminal (KTEL). (00 and 30 minutes past the hour from KTEL Bus Terminal, 20 and 50 min past the hour from the Airport). Parking Macedonia Intercity Bus Terminal has 250 parking spaces for short and long stay. Parking area is free of charge for the first 20 minutes. Open-air parking is located to the southern side of the central entrance, whereas underground parking is located to the north-western side. Located 32km. from the city of Kavala, 12 km. from the nearest town Chrysoupoli. Transposing Kavala is only by taxi, which usually waiting outside the airport. The cost of the route Kavala- Airport and back is about 30-35 €. There is no route bus and coach which passed through the airport. From the Kavala Airport for KTEL(Bus station) by taxi the distance is about 35-40 minutes.

Description: Alexandroupolis Airport (AXD) is located 7 km. from the city center of Alexandroupolis on the old National Road Alexandroupolis - Gardens. Access to the airport is via Egnatia from Komotini and Orestiada. The airport opening hours during the summer season is as follows: 05: 00-12: 00 and 16: 00-20: 30 every Monday / Wednesday / Thursday and Saturday 05: 00-13: 00 and 16: 00-20: 30 every Tuesday 05: 00-13: 00 and 16: 00-21: 45 on Fridays and Sundays Call center Airport: +30 25510 89300 From the airport straight to the KTEL Alexandroupoli (bus station) does not exist. You can use a taxi from the rank which is at the airport exit. The minimum charge for transportation from the airport costs 5-6 €. The carriage of passengers at the airport is done by urban bus service to and from Alexandroupolis. The destination of the bus is in the villages Baths, Anthia, Aristino and Nipsa and makes stop at the airport exit. The combination of lines creates one connection per 20-30 minutes.
