    THE $12,000 NAOMI RABB WINSTON SCHOLARSHIPIN TWO-DIMENSIONAL ART

    An amual scholarship in honor ofthe late Naomi Rabb Winstonl a distinguished artist andmother of Shir獲ey Rabb Winston who endowed the Winston Scholarships) is available

    through the National Society ofArts and Letters to visuaI artists ages 16 to 22. Applicants

    must demonstrate exceptional talcnt and promise of future succes§・

    The scholarship funds are for private studyl SPeCial training oI. PerSOna賞advancement in

    the applicants) chosen art frolds・ The funds can be used for coHege tuition and required art

    SuPPlies, but not for hous血g, traVel or personal expenses.

    Scholarship fund§ are Sent tO the institutionl teaCher o叩rogram se看ected by the

    SCholarship recipient. Scholar§hip recipients have 15 months to use the funds.

    Applicants who have not received a scholarship may apply as o請en as their age allows.

    Scho萱arship recipients may not reappIy for仙e scholarshipl but are eligible to participate in

    Othcr NSAL competitions.

    ELIGIBILITY

    AppIicants must:

    1. be citizens of the United States. Copies of birth cert脆cates or naturalization papers mus書

    be submitted with applications.

    2. be at least 16 years old, but not older than 22 by March l, 2019.

    3. not be previous recipients of a Winston SchoIarship in Two-Dimensional Art.

    TECHN量CÅL REQUIREMENTS

    宣・ Applicants must submit, On CD or flash drive in jpeg high qualrty format, image§ Offive

    (5) art works done within the past two years. The CDs/偶ash drives must be unprotected

    and computer friendly.

    Each image in the CD or flash drive must be labeIed with the artist,s name, title and

    medium ofthe art work. The application must show the title, the dimensions ofthe work

    and the date it was completed.

    Prints ofthe art works must accompany the CD or組a§h drive. The en鉦e uncropped view

    Ofeach work must be vi§ible.

    l. Qua睡ed judges chosen by each NSAL Chaptcr wiIl be given copies ofthe age and a

    brief bio ofeach ofthe artists and how they want to use their scholarships.

    3. Each chapter wi看l mail tIle CDs/珊ash drives and ap】PIication(S) of its fina賞ist(S) and fee(§)

    to the National Chair before the March l, 2019 deadline.

    PROTECTION

    l. Carc and caution must be exercised in the handling ofall CDs粗ash drives.

    2.皿e Nationa重Winston SIcholarships Committee reserves the righ=o reproduce言n coIor or in

    black and white, the CDs用ash drives ofthe art works submitted by the finalists. The

    reproductions wi11 be used for educational and/or publicity purposes only・
