I'm trying to get the latest stable version of horde from www.horde.org running. It appears I need to install some Pearextensions. I've tried pecl install geoip and I get the following error messages... (the list is long, sorry)

What is messed up with PHP/Pear/Pecl??

Andrew, did you ever get an answer? I'm having the same problem now. For the record, it appears to be a Mandriva-specificproblem; I've never seen it on any of the dozen other distros I work with regularly, nor on Windows, nor on OS X.

Hmmm...given that, and given the well-known drama around Mandriva recently, I wonder if it will ever get fixed?

It appears this script was never tested otherwise it would had been fixed five years ago or so... Well, I just fixed this in cooker andwill try to remember to fix it with some future update. Anyway and meanwhile you can remove the offending "-n" statement as in:

cat /usr/bin/pecl#!/bin/shexec /usr/bin/php -C -n -q -d include_path=/usr/share/pear \-d output_buffering=1 /usr/share/pear/peclcmd.php "$@"
