ω-3 Fatty acids
n−3 fatty acids (popularly referred to as ω−3 fatty acids or omega-3 fatty acids) are a family of unsaturated fatty acids that have in common a carbon–carbon double bond in the n−3 position; that is, the third bond from the methyl end of the fatty acid.

Lanolin Lanolin is the smelly pale-yellow natural oil found on sheep’s wool. As a waste product in wool processing, it’s also known as wool oil, wool wax, wool fat, or wool grease. It’s a natural water-repellant, the function of which, it’s not too hard to guess, is to waterproof the sheep. Lanolin also has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that protect the sheep’s skin from infection. Derived from the animal’s oil glands, lanolin’s a mixture of wool fat and 25-30% water. Wool fat is a mixture of many different chemical compounds, including cholesterol and the esters derived from ‘fatty’ acids containing 18 to 26 carbon atoms.

A lipoprotein is a biochemical assembly that contains both proteins and lipids. The lipids or their derivatives may be covalently or non-covalently bound to the proteins. Many enzymes, transporters, structural proteins, antigens, adhesins and toxins are lipoproteins. Examples include the high density and low density lipoproteins of the blood, the transmembrane proteins of the mitochondrion and the chloroplast, and bacterial lipoproteins.
Lipoprotein
Lipoprotein เป็นการรวมกันทางชวีเคมขีองโปรตีนและลิพดิสแ์บบ covalent หรอื Non-covalent
Classification by densityGeneral categories of lipoproteins, listed in order from larger and less dense (more fat than protein)
to smaller and more dense (more protein, less fat):Chylomicrons - carry triacylglycerol (fat) from the intestines to the liver, skeletal muscle, and to
adipose tissue. Very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) - carry (newly synthesised) triacylglycerol from the liver to
adipose tissue. Intermediate density lipoproteins (IDL) - are intermediate between VLDL and LDL. They are not usu
ally detectable in the blood. Low density lipoproteins (LDL) - carry cholesterol from the liver to cells of the body. Sometimes
referred to as the "bad cholesterol" lipoprotein. High density lipoproteins (HDL) - collects cholesterol from the body's tissues, and brings it back to t
he liver. Sometimes referred to as the "good cholesterol" lipoprotein.
