ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS Ι Aim The aim of the course objectives is to offer the students the scientific and technological background for the design, implementation and inspection of home and industrial Low Voltage electrical installations. Course Description: Standards and Regulations – ELOT HD384. Electric shock protection – Grounding, RCB, main equipotenetial bonding et.al. Electrical installations safety and operation - Fuses, contactors & switches Selection of materials and calculations – cables, fuses, sitches etc. Electrical installation of lighting. Electrical installation of motors. Classical automation. Connecting to the grid – procedures and technical, economical & legal aspects Electrical installation inspections. Energy saving. Laboratory Exercises: Electrical drawing. Connection of switches in a lighting line and inspection according to HD384. Single phase distribution panel. Grounding in TT and TN networks.
