They also exhibit fair delergency in aqueous systems and Agents BO and TR are superior detergents in non-polar solvents. Agents BO and TR are outstanding in their suitability for dispersing solids in hydrocarbon systems and ΒΡΕ has excellent dispersing power in aqueous s\stems. Of this group, ΒΡΕ also has the best wetting power. Although not comparable with Aerosol* OT (the di-2-elh\ llicxyl ester of sodiumsulfosuccinie acid) at ordinary temperatures, its wetting power is much greater at elevated temperatures· t/ses—New Product Bulletin No. 20 describes some of the possible uses for these new compounds. It is suggested that they be investigated as dispersants for solids in hydrocarbons and in water. Agent BO has been found effective as a softener for textiles and ΒΡΕ as a wetting-out agent. Due to its good wettability and low water solubility, ΒΡΕ has superior anti-fogging properties on glass.
