The PRF1/PRF1 Master surge arrester range is suitable for use with all earthing systems: TT, TNS, TNC, IT. Type 1 surge arresters are tested with a 10/350 s current wave.

PRF1/PRF1 Master

The Type 1 PRF1/PRF1 Master surge arrester protects electrical installations against direct lightning strokes. It is recommended for electrical installations in tertiary and industrial buildings protected by a lightning conductor or by a meshed cage. It is used to run to earth a direct lightning current propagated through the live conductors and the earth conductor. It must be installed with an upstream fuse type or circuit-breaker type protection (disconnection) device whose breaking capacity must be at least equal to the maximum prospective short-circuit current at the installation point.DB108607
