N e w Aromatic Acids Plant. A plant in which w e shall manufacture aromatic acids, utilizing a new process, is now under construction near Joliet, Illinois. The plant will be on stream in 1958. Initial capacity wi l l be 60 million pounds of acids. The unique, two-step process wil l permit us to of fer finished products of unusually high purity. Products to be made there include Phthalic Anhydr ide; Isophthalic, Terephthalic and Benzoic Acids.

N e w Technical Service Laboratory. Customers need answers to technical problems quickly. To get answers fo r our customers quickly, we have estab­lished a new technical service laboratory in Chicago separate from our other research faci l i -

ties. Our sales representatives call on the exper i ­enced research teams in these laborator ies for help on customers' problems.
