THE WRESTLER (of Serpens: Coiling Snake reaching up to swallow Corona: Cup of Blessing)

SIGN INTERPRETATION:

The Wrestler is in a great struggle. His hands are grappling with the coiling serpent Serpensand his foot is planted on the head of the scorpion Scorpius. A two on one battle! Daunting.But success in a wrestling match comes from solid footing as well as skillfull hands.The other foot of Ophicus finds solid ground in Sagittarius: the Archer. The Wrestler is theHoly Spirit and he draws from Scripture the right verse or text (arrow of Sagittarius) to crush and defeat the foes. The head of the Wrestler is very close to the head of Hercules:Christ coming down from Heaven by incarnation. The mind of the Spirit and the mind ofChrist are in one accord. Neither Serpens nor Scorpius has the power to sway the Spirit tocause Him to doubt God's truth or renounce Christ. So the outcome in favor of Ophiuchusis assured. All born again persons went through this great struggle between light and darknessfor our eternal soul. We remember how uncomfortable our flesh was at the thought ofsurrendering all to Jesus. By God's Grace we passed through Distress to Peace with God.

Riches, or power, or status were not why Christcame to Earth. He already possessed more than Satan could ever offer. Christ cameto Earth for a higher purpose: to give His life as an Offering to save others from eternal suffering and to fulfill great and precious promises made to the patriarchs.(To give up Heaven's Glory? To suffer on a Cross? In a word: Distressing!)
