2.2. Test sequence
Resistance to wind load according to EN 1932:2013-06
EN 13561:2004-09+A1:2008-10, Clause 4.2, the load application process Νο. 1 has been applied in
accordance with EN 1932:2013-06.
For this purpose, the samples were loaded with test weights in accordance with the EN 1932.
Testing was performed with the nominal load and/or the safety load. The relevant test loads
depending on the wind load class was applied ina jolt-free manner for 2 minutes each.

4. Evaluation
Based on the test results and according to EN 1932: 2013-09, EN 13561:2004-09+A1:2008-10 and ΕΝ
13561: 2015-08 the test specimen is classified in the wind load category 3 for EN 13561:2004-
09+A1:2008-10 and wind load category 6 for EN 13561: 2015-08. The wind load categories 3 and 6
are the highest achievable category in accordance with EN 13561 in each version.
The difference between the values Η0-Η2 was calculated and found to be <0.4%. [Η0 = initial height,
Η2 = height after application of the nominal wind load plus 50%]. The nominal load was added plus
50%, so that the achieved performance characteristics also apply to pergolas with more than two (2)
guides.
After the nominal load plus 50% and the safety load plus 50%, no wear / damage was detected and
the pergola awning was fully functional.
