The αBat offers a wide range of possibilities: Createaprofilewithyourpreferredsettingsandchooseonetomakeatest.Fourbuilt-infunctions:singlecyclecapacitytest,multiplecyclecapacitytest,chargertest,andvoltagerecorder.TheLCDshowsyouwhythebattery/chargerisdefective: 1. The battery needs charging prior to running the test. 2. The capacity of the battery is insufficient. 3. The battery has a short circuited cell or another internal failure (manufacturing fault). 4. The charger undercharges/overcharges the battery.

TheLCDshowstheeffectivecapacityofthebatteryinhoursandminutesorasapercentage.Thebatterycapacitycanbeadjustedbetween0.8and100Ah20h(ormax400Ah20hontheαBATPro).TheαBATcaneasilybeconnectedtoacomputerforanalysisofallthedata.Thesoftwareisveryuser-friendlyandwillgiveanaccurateassessmentofthebatterycapacityorchargerquality.Youcanprintreportstojustifybatteryorchargerreplacement.Alongsideyoucanseeatypicaltestsetupwhichpermitssuccessivedischargeandrechargeofabatteryoverseveralcycles.
