Alexandros. Update on food in schools. Objectives - reach -
interest - difficulties. Schools are an important link between the
specialists and the target population for information on health
education. Healthy food and a balanced diet contribute to a healthy
lifestyle and proper child development, the enhancement of learning
ability and of the performance of the child in school. In this
paper, there is a brief presentation of the speaker's experience of
campaigns in primary schools of Xanthi, in order to inform and
raise awareness about nutrition issues. This program is implemented
within hours of instruction and is targeted to students in fifth
and sixth grade of primary school and their parents. It includes
lectures supported by audiovisual means and at the end of each talk
it is followed by questions and discussion. Also in this paper we
refer to the program's objectives, the popularity that it has , the
interest and the difficulties encountered.
