Shell Chemical Corp. , New York 20, has revised its quotations for al-drin, technical grade, flake, to 80 cents per pound in carlots, and to 85 cents for less than carlots.

Reichhold Chemicals, New York 22, announced a price increase of one cent per pound for its Polylite line of general purpose polyester resins, effec­tive Oct. 15, 1954. Increase brings average price of these resins to 35 cents in carload and truekload lots, from former level of 34 cents.

Dow Chemical, Midland, Mich., announced a price reduction of more than one dollar p e r pound for its pharmaceutical grade methionine. Price for 50-pound containers is now $3.50 per pound. Donald Williams, director of sales, also announced re­duction of more than a dollar per pound in Dow's price for N-acetyl-DL-methionine to $5.00 per pound. Both reductions are effective immediately.

U. S. Industrial Chemicals, New York, reduced its quotation for DL-methionine, pharmaceutical grade, by about 20%. Reduction was also made in the more soluble derivative, N-acetyl-DL-methionine. T h e feed grade had been previously reduced in price.
