Stonehenge is one of the most impressive Neolithic megalithic monuments in the

world. Stonehenge is a Neolithic monument

whose formation continued as the Bronze Age, near Amesbury, England.

The name Stonehenge originates from the ancient English words Stonehenge gist,

meaning 'hanging stones‘.

Morphological has only a distant relationship with the other stone rounds in the British Isles, such as the Ring of Brodgar, while the famous trilith make

it unique. Until now, researchers and archaeologists don’t know who were the ones who built the megalithic

monument. Reserches from around the world claim that the

monument was built either by Mycenaean , or Romans , or Britons , while some argue the

construction of even alien civilizations .

The reasons why they built are unknown, although cases there are many. (Place of

worship, Astronomical Observatory). The mystery of this monument is not only why constructed. Is the fact that, according to what we know about the culture of the

people in 3000 BC, we can not explain how they were able to carry huge boulders and how they managed to lift to place them in

their positions.
