How do collectors present their plumb bobs? When two collectors meet the first time, they are asking: HOW DO YOU DISPLAY YOYUR PLUMB BOBS? There are different possibilities to show his plumb lines, for example: • In a closed box • In a drawer or an open box • Hanging on a wall • In a display of glass or plastic • In a separate Showroom / Tool room / office • On the shelves • In the corridors • In the corners

• In books, on a poster • In a museum • Over windows • Hanging on stands • On the Internet with a special home page • Etc.

Each way of display has advantages and disadvantages. Anyone loves his collection, whether large or small. In this presentation I show you a few opportunities to present your items: Thanks to all the friends who sent me pictures of their collection and who agreed with the publication. So we can get new ideas to present our own collection. It is more difficult to make a presentation with a small room than with a lot of space available. Not everybody of us has a large office, so I also show some “small solutions” because each small room, corridor or corner can be used! We are not showing our treasures only for other people, but also for ourselves. So we have a better overview what we have compiled in the last years. I can, and will not judge, what the best solution is. You alone can judge what solution is the most satisfactory and how you put your wishes into practice. There is not only ONE solution. This collection should serve as an example of suggestions. In Germany there is a proverb: "You can dance only with the girls who are present" (But you can dream of others). The same is valid for our presentations. One thing is for sure - we want to get out our treasures of the boxes and make them visible and interesting for ourselves and for others.

WIE ZEIGEN SAMMLER IHRE SENKLOTE?

Wenn sich zwei Sammler treffen ist eine der ersten Fragen: „WIE PRÄSENTIERST DU DEINE SENKLOTE?“ Jeder von uns hat unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten in Bezug auf Geld, Räumlichkeiten, Zeit und das persönliche Umfeld, um seine Sammlung zu für andere zugänglich zu machen. Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten seine Senklote zu zeigen, z. B.: • In einer geschlossenen Kiste • In Ecken • In einer Schublade oder offenen Kiste • In Büchern, auf einem Plakat • An einer Wand hängend • In einem Museum • In einer Vitrine aus Glas oder Kunststoff • An Fenstern • In einem eigener Raum / Büro • In Internet auf einer eigenen homepage • Auf Regalen • Auf Ständern • In Fluren • usw. Jeder dieser Arten hat ihre Vor- und Nachteile. Egal wie die Möglichkeiten sind, jeder von uns liebt seine Sammlung, ob sie klein oder groß ist. Hier habe ich mal einige Möglichkeiten der Präsentation zusammen getragen. Herzlichen Dank an alle Sammlerfreunde, die mir Bilder geschickt haben und mit einer Veröffentlichung einverstanden waren. Sie bringen dadurch neue Ideen zum Nacheifern. Es ist schwieriger mit geringen Mitteln / Platz etwas zu präsentieren, als wenn man aus dem Vollen schöpfen kann. Nicht jeder von uns hat einen extra Raum oder großes Büro, deshalb sind hier auch einige „Kleinlösungen“ abgebildet. Jeder noch so kleine Raum oder Flur oder Ecke kann genutzt werden. Wir holen unsere Schätze ja nicht nur aus dem Verborgenen für andere Leute, sondern haben eine viel bessere Übersicht auch für uns selbst, was wir alles zusammen getragen haben. Ich kann und will nicht beurteilen, welche Lösung die beste ist. Nur Du kannst entscheiden, wie Du Deine Wünsche in die Realität umsetzt. Es gibt nicht „DIE“ Lösung. Diese Zusammenstellung soll nur eine ANREGUNG sein. In Deutschland gibt es ein Sprichwort: „Man kann nur mit den Mädchen tanzen, die da sind“ (aber man kann von anderen träumen). Genau so ist es mit unseren Darstellungen. Eins ist sicher, wir sollten unsere Schätze aus der Verborgenheit der dunklen Kisten herausholen und sie für uns und andere sichtbar und interessant machen! Viel Spaß mit den Bildern von den realisierten Lösungen.

De quelle façon les collectionneurs présentent leurs fils à plomb ?

Lorsque deux collectionneurs se rencontrent la première fois, ils se posent la question suivante : Comment présente tu tes fils à plomb ? Il y a de différentes possibilités de montrer ses fils à plomb, par exemple :

• Dans une caisse fermée • Dans un tiroir ou bien une caisse ouverte • Pendus au mur • Dans une vitrine en verre ou en plastique • Dans un propre Showroom / Toolroom / bureau • Sur des étagères • Dans les couloirs • Dans les coins • Dans des livres, sur une affiche • Dans un musée • Aux fenêtres • Sur des supports • Sur Internet avec une page d’accueil particulière • Etc.

Chaque manière de présenter a des avantages et désavantages. N’importe, chacun de nous aime sa collection, qu’elle soit petite ou grande. Dans cette présentation je vous démontre quelques possibilités de présenter vos objets: Un grand merci à tous les amis collectionneurs qui m’ont mit ces photos à disposition et qui étaient d’accord avec la publication. Ainsi nous pouvons rassembler des nouvelles idées et nous motiver à nouveau. Il est plus difficile de faire une présentation avec des moyens/emplacements restreints qu’en ayant toutes les possibilités possibles. Car chacun d’entre nous n’a pas une grande pièces ou un grand bureau, c’est pour cela que sont démontrées également quelques « solutions minimes » , car chaque petite pièces, couloir ou bien coin peut servir ! Nous ne sortons pas nos trésors de notre cachette pour d’autres personnes, mais nous avons un meilleur aperçu pour nous même, de tout ce que nous avons réuni au fil du temps. Je ne peux et surtout je ne voudrais pas juger, quelle solution est la meilleure. Toi seul peux juger quelle solution est la plus satisfaisante et de quelle façon tu mets tes vœux en pratique. Il n’y a que « la » solution individuelle pour toi. Cette collecte d’exemple doit servir de suggestions. En Allemagne il y a un proverbe : « On ne peut danser qu’avec les filles qui sont présentes » (mais on peut rêver des autres). Il en est de même pour nos exposés. Une chose est sure – nous voulons sortir nos trésors des caisses secrètes et les rendre visibles et intéressantes pour nous mêmes et pour d’autres. Passons aux photos des solutions réalisées !
