1 cup1 Tbsp½ tsp

frozen bread dough, thawed, not risenbuttersugarcinnamon

powdered sugarmilkvanilla

1. Roll out dough to about 12×14 inches. Spread butter evenly on top of

dough.

2. Sprinkle with sugar and then with cinnamon.

3. Roll up jelly-roll style, tightly pinching ends so sugar/cinnamon doesn’t fall

out.

4. With a sharp knife cut into 1-inch sections and lay in prepared pan.

5. Allow dough to rise until almost double its size (around 1–2 hours). They

will also rise quite a bit while baking. Meanwhile, prepare frosting. To help

them rise a little more quickly, I put them in the oven with the light on, and

place a bowl of water on the rack beneath them to help moisture stay in

the oven.

6. Bake in greased round or square pan at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.

Top will be golden brown when done. Allow rolls to cool slightly while

preparing topping. (If you’re like me, you may want to spread a little butter

on top to make them nice and glossy!)

FROSTING

1. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk to make a thick paste.

2. Add more milk or powdered sugar as needed.

3. Spread on still-warm rolls, allowing the frosting to melt slightly. Serve warm.

butter (original recipe calls for unsalted butter but I’ve used both)light brown sugarsemi sweet chocolate chipssaltine crackers

1. Preheat oven to 400.

2. Line 12x17 cookie sheet with foil and spray well with cooking spray.

3. Layer the saltine crackers on top of the foil.

4. Heat butter and sugar on stovetop and heat until gently boiling, stirring constantly.

5. Reduce heat to low boiling and cook, uncovered, between 3 and 5 minutes, until the mixture is thickened and sugar is dissolved. (Be careful to avoid burning the butter and sugar- that will ruin the recipe, but do make sure the sugar is dissolved and mixture is thickening. This is by far the trickiest part of the recipe ~ just make sure it thickens and dissolves but does not burn.)

6. Pour butter and sugar mixture over crackers and spread evenly.

7. Bake 5-6 minutes in oven.

8. Remove pan from oven and let cool 3 minutes, then sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over brown sugar mixture.

9. As chocolate chips melt, carefully spread into an even layer over the toffee layer using a knife. (Note - I pop the pan back in the oven for about 20 seconds after sprinkling on chocolate chips so that they melt faster.)

10. Refrigerate for one hour.

11. Break into bite-sized pieces and serve. Store covered in refrigerator.

1. Combine first three ingredients in mixer on medium speed, then add in 1 cup of the peanut butter.

2. Spread evenly over the bottom of an ungreased 9x13 pan.

3. In small bowl, melt together chocolate and remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter in microwave for 30 seconds.

4. Stir peanut butter and chocolate chips. If chips do not melt, cook in microwave an additional 10 seconds at a time or until melted.

5. Pour over the peanut butter mixture.

6. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight.

3. Add eggs & vanilla, mix well. In separate bowl combine flour, baking soda & salt. Mix with spoon, then add to shortening mixture and mix until well blended.

4. Add chocolate chips.

5. Bake in 375 oven for 7-9 minutes (I think the original recipe called for 8-10 minutes, but I bake a little closer to 7-8 because I like moist gooey cookies. You may want to cook them a little longer if you like them crispier!)

6. When you pull them out of the oven lightly tap the pan on your counter top to “settle” your cookies. Let cool on wire rack.

1. Cream together peanut butter and butter in mixer.

3. Roll into balls and refrigerate until firm (about 15 minutes.)

4. Meanwhile, using double boiler, heat water to simmering. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in bowl sitting on top of the simmering water. Stir frequently until smooth.

5. Using a toothpick, dip peanut butter balls into chocolate leaving some peanut butter showing at the top to resemble buckeyes. Shake off excess chocolate, then set on wax paper.

6. To hide your toothpick mark, smooth over holes before refrigerating, then refrigerate until hardened.

CHRISTMAS

CRACK

DIRECTIONS1. Heat oven to 400.2. Line 12x17 cookie sheet with foil and spray well with cooking spray.3. Layer the saltine crackers on top of the foil.4. Heat butter and sugar on stovetop and heat until gently boiling, stirring

constantly.5. Reduce heat to low boiling and cook, uncovered, between 3 and 5 minutes,

until the mixture is thickened and sugar is dissolved. (Be careful to avoid burning the butter and sugar- that will ruin the recipe, but do make sure the sugar is dissolved and mixture is thickening. This is by far the trickiest part of the recipe ~ just make sure it thickens and dissolves but does not burn.)

6. Pour butter and sugar mixture over crackers and spread evenly.7. Bake 5-6 minutes in oven.8. Remove pan from oven and let cool 3 minutes, then sprinkle chocolate chips

evenly over brown sugar mixture.9. As chocolate chips melt, carefully spread into an even layer over the toffee

layer using a knife. (Note - I pop the pan back in the oven for about 20 seconds after sprinkling on chocolate chips so that they melt faster.)

10. Refrigerate for one hour.11. Break into bite-sized pieces and serve. Store covered in refrigerator.
