Cahn Instruments, a Division of Thiokol Corp., has been acquired by a group of managers and investors, headed up by company president, Jerry Yablonka. Mr. Yablonka will continue as president of the new company, known now as Cahn Instruments, Inc. Cahn manufactures precision balances.
Hitachi, Ltd. has announced tha t Hitachi electron microscopes will no longer be sold in the U.S. through the Perkin-Elmer Corp. Instead, the company has formed a direct marketing operation: Hitachi Scientific Instruments Division.
