Project Aims• Evaluate existing & planning regional capabilities, • Identify common problems related to the sustainable growth, • Analyze best approaches and practices • Examine the role of human resources and the constrain of immigration
movements.
This project examines and proposes growth policies based on
knowledge, innovation and research for the following sectors:• Agriculture, • Culture, • Environmental • SME’s, • Services and • Tourism
Project scope• Investigate regional needs for these 6 sectors and; for Western Greece, Ionian
Islands and Epirus; Sicily and Puglia• Diagnose the causes of the inadequate planning efforts of the past and explore the
new opportunities and examine problems related to the regional and spatial development capacities and practises expressed in policy design and in the implementation of research and technology,
• Investigate changes in the sectoral and regional labour markets, changes to
the labour force; and the structural role of immigration and the labour force
movement in the development of local and sectoral policies, • Develop and establish a permanent dialogue among all interested regional
authorities and setting up permanent networks to accomplish the objectives

The WP 2 targeting to the immigration management and to
the supporting of policies for social inclusion of legal
immigrants.
It will be implemented in the Ionian Sea territory.
WP2 will mainly examine migratory phenomenon on the
areas concerned and on the local labour markets, what is
migrants’ impact on receiving local economies, how
migrants can be utilized to contribute to the development.
Outputs / Deliverables
• Initiative activities and regular meetings (3) monitoring the establishing,
development and coordination of a network monitoring and studying
migration. The network is going to include all the legible regions.• Establishment of permanent migration observatory network based on the local authorities. • Establishment of a permanent “think tank” for immigration and its impact on less developed Region.
Action No 2.1
Establishing and development of a network of interested partners for monitoring the migratory phenomenon on the areas concerned and on the local labour markets

• Collected statistical data of immigrants movements from the involved
Greek and Italian regions • Detailed illustration of immigrants’ movements
• Valuation of the statistical data• Quantitative empirical research looking at the duration and the evolution of the immigration flows

• Huredepis project examines and evaluates our regions. It goes to take advantages of regions strengths and to propose actions and policies to improve our regions and lifes
