The company is the current Russian leader in the area of production of mobile modular electric substations. Applying these substations allows to provide prompt power supply to consumers in case of emergency black-out, as well as to carry out the extension of existing electric substations in restrained urban conditions.

«Piterenergomash» is producing mobile modular electric substations of 110/35 kV, 110/20(10) kV, 110/10(6)kV, 35/10(6) kV, 10/0,4 kV with various capacity. Mobile modular electric substations are designed for operating in such modes as: the standalone mode, the mode of two or more transformer electric substations operating, parallel operating with a stationary electric substation, in order to provide consumers with an emergency, temporary or main power supply of various reliability categories, with a total capacity of up to 160 MVA.

Mobile electric substations are produced as a number of separate modules, transportable by road by semi-trailers (16 –17 m-long, 3 m-wide). Only the most modern technologies and materials, low-voltage and high-voltage equipment, produced by the leading manufacturers, as well as technical solutions minimizing both weight and dimensions of the electric substations are applied in production process.

THE ADVANTAGES OF GAS-INSULATED SWITCHGEAR ARE:

Applying of gas-insulated switchgear allows to reduce the area and volume, occupied by switchgear device and provides an option of extending the gas-insulated switch-gear, simpler, comparing to the conventional switchgear.

Gas-insulated switchgear incorporates all the items of technological equipment, basic for electric substations

such as: switches, earthing disconnecting switches, power current and voltage trans-formers, surge protection devices, combined in an earthed metal enclosure filled with SF6 gas, which has the best insulating and arc-control properties.

Our experts have designed a flexible scheme for reconstruction of outdoor switchgear applying modular gas-insulated switchgear. An area, occupied by gas-insulated switchgear electric substations, equals 5 to 10% of an area, occupied by electric substation with an open switchgear. Such compact size of gas-insulated switchgear allows to place electric substation in densely populated area, mountainous areas, etc.

Gas-insulated switchgear modules are supplied fully prefabricated. Reduced time of commissioning comparing to outdoor switchgear and indoor switchgear;

Modular design. The configuration of mobile modular electric substations 110/10kV are assembled from several separate containers, applying modular concept;

An option to make modifications in configuration of mobile modular electric substations 110/10kV by incorporating some extra modules or excluding unnecessary modules from the assembly of electric substations.

Applying of modular gas-insulated switchgear significantly reduces operating costs;

All live parts of gas-insulated switchgear, are enclosed in an earthing housing, ensuring the safety of personnel and protection against any contact with live parts;

All elements of gas-insulated switchgear are enclosed in a sealed metal housing, protecting them completely against such environmental effect as salt residues at the coastal areas, snow, rain, dust-laden air, high humidity. It protects the equipment from contamination and ensures high reliability of the gas-insulated switchgear;

A small number of pipes and valves applied in the standard modular integrated utility system provides high level of sealness and gas tightness.

POWER TRANSFORMERS

Power transformers are designed for transforming the type of transferring electrical power voltage.

Only reliable, well-proven power transformers, produced both by foreign and Russian companies, are incorporated in the modular electric substations, produced by “Piterenergomash”.

The advantage of transformers applied at mobile modular electric substations is provided option to apply one transformer for different types of voltage: 110/35 kV, 110/20(10) kV, 110/10(6) kV, 35/10(6) kV, 10/0,4 kV.

Transferring of low voltage to another voltage type is accomplished by changing the taps of the secondary winding. At the same time, up to 100% of nominal rating power can be transmitted at tap of all types of voltage (on the customer’s request).

An option of using different types of voltage at the same mobile modular electric substation significantly expands its operating range.

PHASE-ISOLATED CURRENT LEADS WITH THE CAST INSULATION

Applying of phase-isolated current leads provides protection for electrical connections of mobile modular electric substations from mechanical shock damage, climatic factors and other external effects. The line route of the current lead consists of separate sections. Conductors of separate sections are connected applying bus-bar compensators and bolting.

Connection to air-insulated equipment is carried out applying plate-type or braided bus-bar compensators.

Bus-bar compensator performs the following functions:dampens vibration, transmitted from a transformer or a generator to current leads;

provides an option to compensate misalignment between outputs of connected equipment and current leads;

allows to correct minor deviations between the actual and the specified locations of the equipment.

Mobile modular electric substations 35/10(6) kV is designed to provide power supply for the industrial, extractive, power grid and other facilities. It is indispensable in areas requiring fast mounting, relocation and dismantling of high-voltage source of power supply.

One of the areas, mobile modular electric substation 35/10 kV could be applied in, is the situation when an existing electric substation 35/6 kV requires a complete reconstruction. In such case mobile modular electric substation would be used as temporary construction designed for unloading of the facility, undergoing reconstruction. Also a new load could be picked up in a case of inconsistency between the terms of reconstruction with the terms of power delivery required for power supply of new facilities.

Design of the modules is based on standard 40- and 20-foot shipping container.Container bodies are mechanically reinforced with additional steel structures, allowing a construction to achieve required solidity and durability.Mobile modular electric substation 35/10(6) kV incorporates portals (35 kV), switchgear input chambers (35 kV), switchgear outgoing lines (35 kV), power transformers, TRDN model (6300 kVA), switchgear input (10 kV), switchgear outgoing lines (10 kV) and compensation-filter devices attached to switchgear — 10 kV.Provided operative current cabinet ensures uninterruptible power supply. Electric substation has a power system protection and also an auxiliary power cabinet for power supplying of mobile modular electric substation.

Template solution of mobile modular electric substation 35/10(6) kV includes three modules, mounted as a single construction at the facility. A configuration and a composition of equipment of electric substation can vary depending on the exact purposes and objectives of every customer

Power transformer meets all technical requirements and parameters of the state standards valid in the Russian Federation. Transformer of TRDN 6300 kVA 35/10 kV type has seven voltage taps and allows to change on-load voltage.

“Piterenergomash” applies the innovative solutions in the design of power transformers for mobile modular electric substation. We apply TRDN oil transformers for this type of mobile modular electric substations. Layout arrangement implemented by “Piterenergomash” allowed to apply standard power transformer in a station of such type.

GENERAL TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF POWER TRANSFORMER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF OIL TRANSFORMER (TRDN MODEL)

Oil transformer of TRDN 6300/35 type, with nominal rating power 6300 kVA, moderately cold climate 1 (UKHL1) climatic modification, rated frequency of 50 Hz, with Y/Δ –11 diagram and group winding connection, with voltage changed by OLTC device.

Dismountable porcelain bushings are applied at high-voltage and low-voltage inputs of outdoor installation.

The transformer is provided with an expansion tank to ensure the availability of oil in every operating mode and at any ambient temperatures.

Oil transformers TRDN are designed for operating with utility-supplied voltage of 6, 10, 35 kV in outdoor electrical installations.

An oil-level indicator with marks of oil level, correct at various temperatures, in-stalled at the end of an oil conservator, allows to control the oil level.

OLTC device is applied for voltage changing.

The multilayer cylindrical windings are made of round or rectangular wire with paper, enamel or glass and polyester insulation. The windings are made of copper winding wire.

Consecutive cells are separated by bushings which protect effectively against any accidents caused by scattering, serving as an extra support for bus bars at the same time. There is a metal security shutter installed at the front of the contact assembly. It lifts automatically when the truck moves from the maintenance to operating position and goes down when the truck moves backward, reliably separating contacts of the primary circuit from high voltage. Forced mechanical locking, installed between the main switch, truck, earthing switch and the cell door of meets all protection requirements.

Switchgear-10 (6) kV cabinets are designed for reception and distribution of power of three-phase alternating current with frequency of 50 Hz at nominal operating voltage of 6 ÷ 12 kV. The entire case is produced from bent sheet steel with an aluminum-zinc coating, with no welding applied, assembled by bolting. The door of switchgear cabinet is polymer-coated to provide it with anti-shock and anti-corrosion properties. The devices has IP4X protection degree.

Template solution of mobile modular electric substation 110/10(6) kV is incorporates two following separate modules: 110 kV module and 10(6) kV module. The equipment is adjusted to Russian operating conditions, including conditions of low temperature and voltage surge.

Connection to overhead power transmission lines is made applying a cable jumper 110 kV with a silicone terminated sleeve at one side and sleeve for connecting to a plug-in connector at the other side. Inter-module connections are made by flexible cables of 10 kV specially designed, with an option of cabling at – 25 °C. Mobile modular electric substation provide an option of supervisory system applying. The operating temperature ranges from – 45 °C (– 60 °C) to + 40 °C. The protection degree of the module outer shells is IP55.

Mobile modular electric substation are able to solve completely the problem voltage maintenance in case of accidents. They can be applied during the time of maintenance and reconstruction of existing till their commissioning, for unloading networks during the peak periods, for providing provide temporary and permanent power supply circuits.

Mobile modular electric substation are essential for construction of new substations at the previously-occupied site in restrained urban conditions condition and inability of customer curtailment.

DELIVERY

Modular mobile electric substations can be delivered by land road, rail or sea transport, capable of transporting 40-foot containers with an approximate weigh of 40 tons (maximum). The modules have standardized dimensions and meet all transportation standards, valid in the Russian Federation.

The compliance of container

block-modules to the transportation standard facilitates all stages of transport logistic and allows loading and unloading modules at terminals by standard equipment.

The production process of modules involves their strength testing. The container structure corresponds to parameters of packaged equipment and has an option of reinforced frames.

Electric substation, “Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System”, Sochi Electric substation, “Interregional distributive grid company of Siberia”

The project was implemented in 2012, in two-month time, starting from the date of the contract signing. Total power of mobile modular electric substation supplied equipment equaled 50 MVA. Mobile modular electric substation was applied for reservation of power grid facilities during the Olympic Games in 2014.

The project was implemented in 2012 году at the facilities of  “Interregional distributive grid company of Siberia”. Mobile modular electric substation is designed for operating electrical grid during the winter season, and also at the time of accident damage elimination or while the existing facilities are being reconstructed.
