Du Pont dodecanedioic acid offers you a long chain of R & D possibilities. Ο-Η Ο OH Du Pont dodecanedioic acid (DDDA) could lend your prod- ucts flexibility, toughness, low- moisture sensitivity and low vola- tility. Its high molecular weight, high purity and many reaction possibilities make these key prod- uct properties possible. (DDDA is the longest straight-chain saturated dicarboxylic acid avail- able in commercial quantities.) You can get polyamides or polyesters by reacting DDDA with diamines or glycols.. .get mono or diesters by direct esterification. And you can react DDDA with basic materials to form acid or neutral salts. The list of end-product pos- sibilities includes plasticizers, synthetic lubricants, adhesives, fragrances, solvents, oil and gasoline additives and polyester polyols, for starters. You'll also find DDDAs performance as a powder paint crosslinking agent worth a close look. Consider DDDA for property improvements over adipic and azelaic acids. And if you're cur- rently deriving products from sebacic acid, DDDA could reduce your product costs. Du Pont dodecanedioic acid (DDDA) could lend your products flexibility, toughness, low-moisture sensitivity and low volatility. Its high molecular weight, high purity and many reaction possibilities make these key product properties possible. (DDDA is the longest straight-chain saturated dicarboxylic acid available in commercial quantities.)

You can get polyamides or polyesters by reacting DDDA with diamines or glycols.. .get mono or diesters by direct esterification. And you can react DDDA with basic materials to form acid or neutral salts.

The list of end-product possibilities includes plasticizers, synthetic lubricants, adhesives, fragrances, solvents, oil and gasoline additives and polyester polyols, for starters. You'll also find DDDAs performance as a powder paint crosslinking agent worth a close look.

Consider DDDA for property improvements over adipic and azelaic acids. And if you're currently deriving products from sebacic acid, DDDA could reduce your product costs.
