College News Chinese Visit At St Euphemia College, we value cultural diversity and tolerance and encourage the interaction and benefits that come from having international students at our school. We are privileged to be hosting nineteen students visiting from China as part of the Chinese Students Tour. The School K-11 welcomed them at an assembly. Through a PowerPoint presentation, visiting students were shown the wonderful diversity of our school as well as all the academic and sporting activities the College provides for all its students. For most students, studying overseas is their first experience of visiting a foreign country and living away from home. The stude nts will be assigned a buddy and follow their respective year group to lessons for the whole week. This will be an enriching experience for both the Chinese and St Euphemia College students. Everyone will gain from sharing and learning about another culture and language. This program will also promote international understanding and cooperation.

CUA Fun Run This year St Euphemia College, Prep to Year 6, took part in the CUA Fun Run. The day began with a very early start, with Channel 7’s Sunrise broadcasting our event live across Australia. What an amazing opportunity and fun filled morning it was for all of us. Well done to all the early risers who made it to the first broadcast. The day continued at Lake Gillawarna, where our students took part in many fun-filled activities. Overall, the event was a great success and the students had a wonderful day. Congratulations to all the students and their teachers who participated during the day. A big thank you to the PC&F who worked tirelessly all morning, and during the day, to provide us with a delicious breakfast, snacks and lunch. Thank you also to Mr Hirakis, who took on the role as head chef in the morning, cooking up a great, breakfast storm. A special thank you to Ms Vourtsanis and Ms Brazil who organised the event. It is with great excitement that I can say that we exceeded our fundraising goal and raised enough money to purchase many more iPads for our Primary classes. Thank you to all the students w ho returned their fundraising money on time. I am sure the students were delighted with their prizes. A special thank you to John Valaskas from 1A for being the highest fundraiser with $1500 and to 2B for being the highest fundraising class. Well done to both John and 2B! Business Manager On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome the School’s Business Manager, Ms Jo Dunwell, to St Euphemia College. Ms Dunwell has extensive experience as a Business Manager, having performed this role at Dunmore Lang College at Macquarie University and St John’s College at the University of Sydney. In her role as Business Manager, Ms Dunwell has implemented and managed diverse financial services, reporting and analysis systems, compliance and Board reports and audit liaison. Ms Dunwell holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Monash University. She has full membership of CPA Australia and has completed a Certificate for Governance for Not For Profit organisations. I look forward to working with Ms Dunwell to enhance the educational outcomes of our students and the financial viability of our School Community. Welcome, Ms Dunwell

Certificate of Attainment in Greek Congratulations to all students who participated in the Certificate of Attainment in Greek. All students did very well. Dormition of the Theotokos: Tuesday 15 August - NO SCHOOL Tuesday 15 August commemorates the Dormition of the Theotokos. There will be NO SCHOOL on that day. Students are encouraged to attend church on this most Holy Day with their families. Parents Parking Just a reminder to parents to be mindful of where they are parking before and after school. There are designated areas for parking and under no circumstances should anyone be parking on private property, including neighbouring apartment blocks and Child Care Centres. If parking is a problem, please arrive earlier than the time required, in order to find ample parking. Tenders and Contracts The Board of Directors would like to announce that a tender process for the School’s Canteen Management Services and Cleaning Services, will take place in early December 2017. On behalf of the School community, the Board would like to extend its appreciation to Mr Baissary, Mr and Mrs Katsiris and all their staff, for the services and support they have provided over the many years they have been working at the School.



Primary News 2018 Pre & Kindergarten Enrolments Enrolments for Prep and Kindergarten 2018 are still open. If you are an existing parent and have not yet enrolled, please do so as soon as possible. Also if you have a relative or friend who is interested in enrolling in any grade, please ask them to contact the school Secretary, Ms Kiahidis. School Fees Please ensure that all Term 3 school fees have been paid, prior to the commencement of each term. Thank you to the parents who have already paid. Selective Schools Test Results Congratulations to Dean Mitsoulis, Ian Zaharis, Thalia Boutzetis, Stephen Dimitropoulos, Anastacia Divanis, Eleni Kalantzis, Nathaniel Sleiman and Nikolas Sokos from Year 6, who received a placement in the Selective Schools Tests and to Andrea Koutsiofi who is on the Reserve List. What a fabulous result! Well done to all the students, their teachers and parents for all their hard work over the years. Church Attendance Church Attendance for July/August has been scheduled as follows: Sunday 30 July – Years 5 and 6 Sunday 27 August – Years 3 and 4 Premier’s Reading Challenge The Premier’s Reading Challenge is coming to an end. The challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. Students should now be returning their book logs to have their books added to

their online challenge list. The challenge finishes in August. Students need to have returned their reading logs to their class teacher by Friday 25 August. Public Speaking After the success of last year, our Public Speaking Competition is back on again this term. All students from K-6 will have the opportunity to prepare their speeches, which thy will then read in class each week, with the first round of speeches beginning in Week 2. In Week 7, three students from each class will be chosen to go through to the Semi Final rounds, which will be held in Week 8, with the Grand Finals taking place in Term 4. Good luck to all our participants. Co-Curricular Clubs Co-curricular clubs begin in Week 2 on Monday 24 July and will continue on Monday afternoons from 3:15pm-4:00pm up until Week 9. Students from Years 3-6 will have the opportunity to partake in Music classes with Ms Chalhoub and Art classes with Ms Hantes. Please ensure that students are picked up by 4:00. Woolworths Earn and Learn Program On Wednesday 26 July to Tuesday 19 September, our school will be participating in the Woolworths Earn and Learn Program. The Woolworths Earn and Learn Program gives our school the chance to earn amazing school resources. Each $10 you spend in Woolworths is equivalent to 1 sticker. The sticker sheets have been distributed to all students. Once the sheet is filled, the students will need to give the sticker sheet to their teachers or place it into the box located outside Woolworths at Centro Bankstown. Thank you for supporting our school. Study Tour Program



From Monday 31 July to Friday 4 August, the school will be welcoming students from China as part of the Study Tours Program. A typical tour consists of 10 to 50 students who will visit for a minimum of one week. Our school will be receiving 21 students. These students will be placed in classes from Year 2 to Year 9. During the week, the students will immerse themselves in the Greek and Australian culture through a variety of class activities as well as participate in sporting activities and games. We look forward to welcoming these students. ICAS English and Mathematics Competitions The ICAS English Competition for Years 3-6 will be held on Tuesday 1 August. The ICAS Mathematics Competition falls on the Dormition of the Theotokos, 15 August and students will be advised of the new date. Students will only be able to sit for the competitions if they have paid their entry fee. Jeans for Genes Day—Friday 4 August Jeans for Genes is a major fundraiser of the Children’s Medical Research Institute. St Euphemia College has been proudly participating towards this organisation for many years. On Friday 5 August, students and their teachers will wear jeans to School and make a $2 donation. Every dollar raised on the day helps scientists at the children’s Medical Research Institute discover treatments and cures, to give every child the opportunity to live a long and healthy life. This year you can also make an online donation. All you have to do is log on to the Jeans for Genes Day website, search for St Euphemia and make your online donation. School Photos On Wednesday, 16 August, the students from PREP to Year 6, will have the opportunity to have their class and individual school photos taken. All students must wear their full winter uniform including their blazers. Students are not to wear their school jumpers for the photos.

Book Week—Monday 21 – Friday 25 August Children’s Book Week highlights and promotes the fun and learning associated with reading books for children. Book Week is the longest running children’s festival in Australia. It was established in 1945 as a not-for-profit, volunteer run organisation, which aims to engage the community with literature for young Australians. At St Euphemia College, we celebrate this event with great enthusiasm every year with a Book Fair, dress ups, an author visit, writing and art competitions and many more fun activities involving literature. The theme for 2017 is ‘Escape to Everywhere’. On Wednesday 16 August, Morris Gleitzman, author of Blabber Mouth, Sticky Beak, Misery Guts, Worry Warts, Girl Underground, Boy Overboard and many, many more books, will be visiting our School providing our students with his writing expertise. The cost of his visit is $5. On Wednesday 23 August, students are encouraged to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or in mufti clothes. Straight after the morning line up bell, there will be a morning assembly in the new hall where the Infants students will parade their costumes and entertain us with some songs. All parents/caregivers are welcome to come and watch the parade. On Thursday 24 August, we will be having an Art Competition with great prizes to be won. This year’s Book Fair theme is ‘Reading Rainforest – Go Wild for Books!’ come and join us in our wild, adventurous journey through the rainforest of books. The Book Fair will be open every afternoon from Monday 21 August to Friday 25 August in the Primary Library, situated in the new building. All money raised from the Book Fair will go directly towards buying library books and interactive resources for our classrooms.



Father’s Day Stall – Wednesday 30 August and Thursday 31 August The PC&F will be organising a Father’s Day Stall on Wednesday 30 August and Thursday 31 August. Students will have the opportunity to buy a gift for their Father or Grandfather on the day. Presents will cost $10. If you would like your child to purchase a gift, please complete the form that will be distributed and have your child return it with the correct money to their class teacher by Tuesday 29 August. Father’s Day Breakfast – Thursday 31 August To celebrate Father’s Day, the PC&F will be hosting a Father’s Day Breakfast for our Fathers and Grandfathers. This will take place at the school between 7:30-8:30. The cost of the breakfast will be $5. Mums and students are also welcome. School Fete The School Fete will be held on Sunday 17 September. If anyone would like to assist the PC&F or would like to hold their own stall, please contact the School Office. Sport News......... Bus Transport Levies A reminder that the Term 3 sport bus levy for Years 3-6 must be paid to the class teacher by Friday 1 September. The cost is $30. PSSA Training Training for the PSSA Winter Competition resumed on Thursday 20 July. Please note the following training schedule. Boys soccer—Ms Koliris (Training on Thursdays at Kearns Oval 3.00pm to 4.00pm) Girls soccer—Mr Nicodemou (Training on Thursdays at Kearns Oval 3.00pm to 4.00pm) Netball—Ms Brazil (Training on Thursdays in the school playground 3.10pm to 4.00pm) Newcombe Ball Girls – Ms Pozoglou (Training on Thursdays in the school playground 3.10pm to 4.00pm)

Newcombe Ball Boys—Ms Stamos (Training on Thursdays in the school playground during lunch time). A reminder to parents to please collect their children from their respective training sessions promptly and not to leave siblings unattended at School during training. All students are reminded to have an extra bottle of water for training sessions. School hats must also be worn while training. Training will continue until Week 4. From there onwards, teams will be notified if training is on, depending on whether they reach the semi- finals and finals. Semi- finals for the Winter PSSA Competition will be held on Friday 18 August and Grand Finals on Friday 25 August. The Summer PSSA Competition will resume on Friday 8 September. IPSHA Athletics Carnival The Annual IPSHA Athletics Carnival is to be held at the International Athletics Centre at Homebush on Tuesday 29 August. The bus will be leaving school at 7:15am and returning by 4:00 pm. The participating students will be notified at a later date. Parents are welcome to attend and support our School. Greek Orthodox Combined Athletics Carnival The Greek Colleges will be gathering together once again for the Annual Combined Athletics Carnival on Monday 11 September. This year, St Euphemia College will be hosting the event at the Crest Sporting Complex in Bass Hill. More information and the participating students will be notified at a later date. Parents are welcome to attend and support our School. Term 3 Gymnastics Program – Years 1 and 4 This year St Euphemia will be providing a gymnastics program for Years 1 and 4. We have engaged School Gymnastics to run this program for our students at school during Term 3. These lessons will run every Thursday starting from week 2. The cost of this program will be $60 for 9 lessons. Please send this



money in an envelope with your name on it to your class teacher. Who will be running the program? School Gymnastics is Australia’s leading provider of in-school gymnastics programs with a reputation of outstanding quality and most importantly - fun! Our programs will steadily progress from week to week to teach your students specific gymnastics skills whilst developing overall fitness, core strength, flexibility, and enhancing spatial awareness. School Gymnastics programs are delivered by specialist gymnastics coaches using the very best equipment available.

Excursions… Pre-Kindy – Year 6 On Thursday 27 July, Fizzics Education will be visiting our school to conduct a range of Interactive Science Workshops that cater for all students from Prep to Year 6. These Science Workshops are designed to engage and inspire students about a range of Science concepts. Students will be allocated a time during the day to participate in these events with their class. The cost of this incursion is $15. Please forward any outstanding payment to your child’s teacher by Monday 28 August. In the event of wet weather, the excursion will be cancelled and re-scheduled for a later date. Please be advised that no refunds will be given as payment is taken prior to the commencement of the Science Workshops. Year 3 Year 3 will be going on an excursion to Sydney’s North Head on Monday 21 August to further explore their Science topic on ‘Beneath Our Feet’. The cost of the excursion is $35. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class on the front by Monday 14 August.

Students will have the opportunity to explore first hand some geological changes that have occurred over time in the environment up at North Head Sanctuary. Students are required to be at school by 8:15 sharp. They are to bring their own packed recess, lunch and water bottle in a small backpack. Students are to wear their Winter sports uniform, including their hat. In the event of wet weather, the excursion will proceed as planned. Students are to come prepared for any weather changes on the day. Year 5 Year 5 will have the unique opportunity to visit the Mogo Historical Goldfields and Mogo Zoo on Wednesday 13 September to Thursday 14 September as part of their HSIE unit on ‘Gold’ as well as their Science unit on ‘Adaptations’.

The cost of the camp is $250. Please return the permission slip, together with the money and signed permission slip to administer Panadol/Nurofen in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class on the front by Friday 4 August.

Year 6

Year 6 will be going on an excursion to the city on Wednesday 6 September as part of their History Unit on ‘Australia as a Nation’. The students will be exploring the historic landscape of where Australia began in Circular Quay through to the secret laneways, buildings and historic sites of The Rocks. The excursion will conclude at Observatory Hill where the students will explore their creative side whilst overlooking the entire Rocks settlement.

The cost of the excursion is $30. Please place the money in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and class on the front by Monday 28 August.

LAST MONTH… Debating Team With Term 2 coming to a close, so have the first 3 rounds of our IPSHA Debating Competition. All students performed exceptionally well in all debates and have developed exemplary skills in the Public Speaking arena.

The schools the students have had the opportunity to verse so far, were: Tara Anglican School, Meridan Girls School and Montgrove.

Some of the topics the students debated on were: ‘That children should choose what they want to learn at school’, ‘That every student should participate in sport after school’ and that ‘Today’s children are spoilt’.

All debaters came up with convincing arguments and should be proud of all the hard work they have put into this year’s debating competition. Ms Pappas looks forward to continue with the debates in Term 3, with the first round beginning on August 11, against Santa Sabina College.

PSSA July Holiday Games Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who took time out of their day to bring the students to the various venues. Thank you also to the students and teachers for coming in during their holidays.

All teams played very well. There were well-deserved wins to the Netball, Newcombe Ball and Junior Soccer teams.



Excursions Year 1 – Australian Maritime Museum On Monday 5 June, Year 1 visited the Australian National Maritime Museum where they took part in the ‘Splash’ program; a hands on art and sea animal exploration room. The students had the opportunity to explore Australia’s last warship called the ‘Destroyer’.



Year 1 – Incursion On Wednesday 19 July, Year 1 had a Science Incursion called ‘Water Wise’ as part of their topic on ‘Water’. Students engaged in fun filled activities, which explored how our waterways can be polluted and ways in which the students can use water responsibly. Year 4 – ‘Hop On, Hop Off’ Tour Bus On Wednesday 7 June, Year 4 braved the chilly weather and had a hopping good time on the ‘Hop On, Hop Off’ Bus, exploring our wonderful city. The students also enjoyed their free time at Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour.



Year 5 – Sydney Observatory On Monday 13 June, Year 5 visited the Sydney Observatory as part of their Science unit on ‘Space’. This unit would undoubtedly be the students’ favourite unit in all their schooling years. So much to learn that a term’s worth of knowledge is nowhere near enough! The students had the opportunity to use the solar telescope to see the sun and learned how to navigate the stars in the Sydney Planetarium. They also watched 3D documentaries in the Observatory’s 3D cinema. The documentaries showed an in depth study of the galaxy and all its contents. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and furthered their knowledge on Space.

Year 6 – Sydney Observatory On Monday 5 June, Year 6 visited Sydney Observatory as part of their Science unit on ‘Weather’. The students got to learn about a variety of weather instruments in the Museum and watched a documentary on Weather in the Observatory’s 3D cinema. They also had the opportunity to use some of these weather instruments in hands on activities by testing the wind speed, learning how to check the temperature and observing the clouds.



High School News FORTHCOMING EVENTS Trial HSC Examinations The Trial Higher School Certificate Examinations began on Monday, 31 July and they conclude on Monday, 14 August. We wish all Year 12 students good luck! Parent/Teacher Evening Years 7 and 8 Parent/Teacher Evening will take place on Thursday, 3 August between 3 30 and 6 30pm. Students are to make appointments with their teachers in advance. SWISSA Athletics The SWISSA Athletics carnival will take place on Monday 14 August. Selected students will attend to represent the School. Dormition of the Theotokos There will be no school on Tuesday, 15 August in honour of the Dormition of the Theotokos. School Photos School photos will take place on Thursday, 17 August and Friday, 18 August. Students are expected to be in full school uniform and appropriate grooming. Church Attendance Sunday, 27 August at 9 30 am: Years 9 and 10 Sports Report On Thursday 20 July 2017, the High School participated in the annual Athletics Carnival, hosted at the Crest Athletics Field. It turned out to be an outstanding day, with all competitors representing their House and school community proudly. As always, there were some exceptional results, with the following students achieving champion status for their respective age groups:

You are model students, thank you for all your efforts. Congratulations must also go out to William Nicolopoulos, who placed first in the All Star 100M final and to Mrs Edhouse and Mr Cardassis, who performed so well in the Teachers vs Students event. Despite a very close encounter between 2nd place (Aphrodite) and 3rd (Apollo), Zeus performed brilliantly and ended up winning the carnival convincingly. Congratulations to Zeus, its House Captains and all participants.



Τα Νέα της Αγίας Ευφημίας Επίσκεψη Κινέζων Στο Κολλέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας εκτιμούμε την πολιτιστική διαφορετικότητα και την ανεκτικότητα, και ενθαρρύνουμε την επικοινωνία και τα οφέλη που προκύπτουν από την επίσκεψη διεθνών μαθητών στο σχολείο μας. Έχουμε την τιμή να φιλοξενούμε δεκαεννέα μαθητές που ήρθαν από την Κίνα στα πλαίσια του Προγράμματος Εκπαιδευτικής Περιήγησης. Το Σχολείο μας, από το Νηπιαγωγείο –Β’ Λυκείου, τους επιφύλαξε μια θερμή υποδοχή. Με μια παρουσίαση PowerPoint, καταδείξαμε στους μαθητές που μας επισκέφθηκαν, μια πληθώρα ακαδημαϊκών και αθλητικών εκδηλώσεων που προσφέρει το Κολλέγιό μας στους μαθητές μας. Για τους περισσότερους μαθητές, η φοίτηση στο εξωτερικό είναι, ουσιαστικά, η πρώτη τους εμπειρία σε ένα ξένο κράτος, μακριά από την πατρίδα τους. Ο κάθε μαθητής θα συνοδεύεται από έναν συνοδό/φιλαράκι και θα παρακολουθεί τα μαθήματα της τάξης του για μια ολόκληρη εβδομάδα. Η επίσκεψη αυτή θα αποτελέσει μια πολύτιμη εμπειρία τόσο για τους Κινέζους μαθητές, όσο και για τους μαθητές του Κολλεγίου της Αγίας Ευφημίας. Όλοι θα επωφεληθούν από την επαφή τους με μια άλλη γλώσσα και κουλτούρα. Επιπλέον, το πρόγραμμα αυτό προάγει τη διεθνή αντίληψη και συνεργασία. CUA Διασκεδαστικός Αγώνας δρόμου Φέτος στο Διασκεδαστικό Αγώνα Δρόμου CUA πήραν μέρος οι μαθητές από το Προνήπιο ως και την Στ’ Δημοτικού. Η μέρα ξεκίνησε πολύ πρωί στο Κολλέγιό μας, καθώς το Πρόγραμμα του Καναλιού 7 βιντεοσκόπησε τη συμμετοχή μας στον αγώνα. Η μέρα αυτή έδωσε μεγάλη χαρά σε όλους όσους ξύπνησαν πολύ πρωί για να συμμετάσχουν.

Η μέρα συνεχίστηκε στο Lake Gillawarna, όπου οι μαθητές μας πήραν μέρος σε διάφορες εκδηλώσεις. Ήταν μια θαυμάσια μέρα! Συγχαίρουμε όλους τους μαθητές και δασκάλους/ες που πήραν μέρος. Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ επίσης και στο Συμβούλιο Γονέων και Φίλων που δούλεψαν σκληρά όλη μέρα προσφέροντάς μας πρωινό, σνακ και μεσημεριανό. Ευχαριστούμε επίσης τον κύριο Χειράκη που φόρεσε το σκούφο του σεφ και μας έφτιαξε ένα εκπληκτικό πρωινό! Με μεγάλη χαρά σας ανακοινώνω πως τα χρήματα που συγκεντρώθηκαν ήταν περισσότερα από ότι αναμέναμε. Με τα χρήματα αυτά θα αγοράσουμε περισσότερα iPads για τις τάξεις του Δημοτικού. Ευχαριστούμε όλους τους μαθητές επέστρεψαν τα χρήματα του εράνου έγκαιρα. Τα δώρα σας θα έρθουν σύντομα. Ευχαριστούμε θερμά και το μαθητή Γιάννη Βαλασκά από την τάξη 1Α που συγκέντρωσε το ποσό των 1500 δολαρίων καθώς και στην τάξη 2Β που συγκέντρωσε τα περισσότερα χρήματα. Συγχαρητήρια στο Γιάννη και ην τάξη 2Β! Εξετάσεις για το Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας Συγχαίρουμε όλα τα παιδιά που πήραν μέρος στις εξετάσεις για το Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας και ελπίζουμε του χρόνου να πάρουν μέρος ακόμη περισσότεροι μαθητές. Διαδικασία Υποβολής Προσφορών και Συμβάσεις Το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο θα ήθελε να σας ανακοινώσουν ότι η διαδικασία υποβολής προσφορών για τις Διοικητικές Υπηρεσίες της Σχολικής Καντίνας και των Υπηρεσιών Καθαρισμού του Σχολείου μας θα λάβει χώρα στις αρχές του Δεκεμβρίου 2017. ΤA ΝEA TOU ΔHMOTIKOU Καλωσορίσατε στο Γ’ Τρίμηνο Καλωσορίζουμε όλους τους μαθητές σε άλλο ένα εποικοδομητικό τρίμηνο. Ελπίζουμε να περάσατε ωραία στις διακοπές σας και να είστε έτοιμοι για ένα καταπληκτικό Γ΄ Τρίμηνο. Τάξεις του Προνήπιου και Νηπιαγωγείου για το 2018 Το Σχολείο μας δέχεται εγγραφές για το Προνήπιο και το Νηπιαγωγείο του 2018. Για τις Αιτήσεις Εγγραφών μπορείτε να απευθυνθείτε στη Γραμματεία του Σχολείου το συντομότερο δυνατό. Όσοι γονείς έχουν συγγενείς ή φίλους που ενδιαφέρονται να γράψουν τα παιδιά τους στο σχολείο μας μπορούν να αποταθούν στη γραμματέα του Σχολείου, την κα Κιαχίδη, για να οργανώσει μια συνάντηση και ξενάγηση στο σχολείο μας. Σχολικά Δίδακτρα Σας υπενθυμίζουμε ότι τα δίδακτρα θα πρέπει να πληρώνονται πριν την έναρξη του κάθε τριμήνου. Αν δεν έχετε πληρώσει τα δίδακτρα του Γ΄ τριμήνου, παρακαλώ να το κάνετε το συντομότερο δυνατό. Αποτελέσματα για τα Selective Schools Συγχαρητήρια στους ακόλουθους μαθητές της Στ΄ τάξης, που εξασφάλισαν μια θέση στα Πρότυπα Σχολεία, χάρη στα εκπληκτικά αποτελέσματά τους στους Διαγωνισμούς των Selective Schools: Κωνσταντίνο Μιτσούλη, Ναθαναήλ Σλίμαν, Νικόλα Σώκο, Αναστασία Ντιβάνη, Ελένη Καλαντζή, θάλεια Μπουτζέτη, Στάθη Δημητρόπουλο, Ιωάννη Ζαχάρη καθώς και στην Ανδριανή Κουτσιόφη που κατάφερε να εξασφαλίσει μια θέση στη λίστα αναμονής. Συγχαίρουμε τους μαθητές αυτούς, τους δασκάλους και τους γονείς τους για την μεγάλη προσπάθεια που κατέβαλαν όλα αυτά τα χρόνια. Εξετάσεις για το Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας Συγχαίρουμε όλα τα παιδιά που πήραν μέρος στις εξετάσεις για το Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας και

ελπίζουμε του χρόνου να πάρουν μέρος ακόμη περισσότεροι μαθητές.

Εκκλησιασμός Ο εκκλησιασμός για τους μήνες Ιούλιος και Αυγούστου έχει προγραμματιστεί ως εξής: Κυριακή 30 Ιουλίου— Ε’ και Στ’ Δημοτικού Κυριακή 27 Αυγούστου— Γ’ και Δ’ Δημοτικού Στάθμευση των Γονιών Υπενθυμίζουμε τους γονείς να προσέχουν πού παρκάρουν πριν και μετά το σχολείο. Υπάρχουν καθορισμένες θέσεις στάθμευσης και δεν επιτρέπεται να παρκάρετε σε ιδιωτικούς χώρους, σε γειτονικές πολυκατοικίες ή Παιδικούς Σταθμούς. Αν η στάθμευση είναι πρόβλημα, τότε θα πρέπει να έρχεστε νωρίτερα ώστε να έχετε χρόνο να ψάξετε. Η «Πρόκληση Ανάγνωσης» Πρωθυπουργού Η «Πρόκληση Ανάγνωσης» του Πρωθυπουργού φτάνει στο τέλος της. Η «Πρόκληση Ανάγνωσης» ενθαρρύνει τα παιδιά του Δημοτικού να αγαπήσουν το διάβασμα και να βιώσουν την αξία της λογοτεχνίας. Αποτελεί μία πρόκληση να διαβάσουν τα παιδιά όσο τα δυνατόν περισσότερο. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να επιστρέψουν το βιβλιαράκι συμμετοχής για να προσθέσουν τα βιβλία τους στο διαδίκτυο. Η πρόκληση τελειώνει τέλος Αυγούστου. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να επιστρέψουν το βιβλιαράκι συμμετοχής πριν την Παρασκευή 25 Αυγούστου. Δημόσια Ομιλία Έπειτα από την περσινή επιτυχία, ο Διαγωνισμός Δημόσιας Ομιλίας επανέρχεται στη διάρκεια του Γ΄ Τριμήνου. Όλοι οι μαθητές από το Νηπιαγωγείο έως και την Στ΄ Δημοτικό θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να προετοιμάσουν τις ομιλίες τους, που θα διαβάσουν στην τάξη κάθε εβδομάδα. Ο πρώτος γ΄θρος του Διαγωνισμού ξεκινάει στην αρχή της 2ης Εβδομάδας. Την 7η Εβδομάδα, τρεις μαθητές από κάθε τάξη θα επιλεχθούν για να προχωρήσουν στους Ημιτελικούς γύρους, οι οποίοι θα λάβουν χώρα στη διάρκεια του Δ’ Τριμήνου.



Καλή επιτυχία σε όλους τους μαθητές. Co-curricular Clubs-Ομάδες συμπληρωματικών μαθημάτων Το πρόγραμμα ομάδων συμπληρωματικών μαθημάτων θα αρχίσει τη 2η Εβδομάδα, τη Δευτέρα 24 Ιουλίου και θα συνεχίζεται κάθε Δευτέρα από τις 3:15μμ-4:00μμ μέχρι και την 9η Εβδομάδα. Οι μαθητές της Γ΄ - Στ΄ Δημοτικού θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να πάρουν μέρος στα μαθήματα της Μουσικής με την δίδα Σαλούμπ ή στα μαθήματα Καλλιτεχνικών με την δίδα Χάντες. Σας υπενθυμίζω ότι θα πρέπει να παραλάβετε τα παιδιά στις 4μμ ακριβώς. Σχολικό Πρόγραμμα ‘Woolworths Earn and Learn Community Program’ Από την Τετάρτη 26 Ιουλίου το σχολείο μας θα πάρει μέρος και στο πρόγραμμα ‘Woolworths Earn and Learn Community Program’. Το πρόγραμμα αυτό δίνει την ευκαιρία στο σχολείο μας να κερδίσει εκπληκτικό σχολικό υλικό. Κάθε φορά που ξοδεύετε 10 δολάρια στο κατάστημα Woolworths, μπορείτε να πάρετε ένα αυτοκόλλητο. Η φόρμα για τα αυτοκόλλητα έχουν ήδη δοθεί στους μαθητές. Όταν συμπληρωθεί η φόρμα μπορείτε να το παραδώσετε στις δασκάλες της τάξης ή να τη ρίξετε στο κιβώτιο που υπάρχει έξω από το σουπερμάρκετ του Woolworths στο Centro Bankstown. Σας ευχαριστώ για τη συνεχή υποστήριξή σας. Πρόγραμμα Εκπαιδευτικής Περιήγησης Από τη Δευτέρα 31 Ιουλίου έως την Παρασκευή 4 Αυγούστου, το σχολείο μας θα καλωσορίσει τους φοιτητές από την Κίνα στα πλαίσια του Προγράμματος Εκπαιδευτικής Περιήγησης. Στην κάθε περιήγηση παίρνουν μέρος από 10 έως και 50 φοιτητές που θα επισκεφθούν το σχολείο μας για μια εβδομάδα τουλάχιστον. Στο σχολείο μας θα έρθουν 21 φοιτητές. Οι φοιτητές αυτοί θα τοποθετηθούν στις τάξεις του Δημοτικού από τη Β’ έως τη Γ’ Γυμνασίου. Στη διάρκεια της εβδομάδας, οι φοιτητές θα διεισδύσουν στην Ελληνική και Αυστραλέζικη κουλτούρα μέσω διάφορων δραστηριοτήτων και αθλητικών αγώνων

και παιχνιδιών. Προσμένουμε να καλωσορίσουμε αυτούς τους φοιτητές.

Διαγωνισμοί ICAS Οι Διαγωνισμοί ICAS για τους μαθητές της Γ΄- Στ΄ Δημοτικού θα λάβουν χώρα ως εξής: Αγγλικά ICAS: Τρίτη 1 Αυγούστου Οι Διαγωνισμοί ICAS στα Μαθηματικά πέφτει στην Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου, στις 15. Οι μαθητές λοιπόν θα ειδοποιηθούν σύντομα σχετικά με τη νέα ημερομηνία των Διαγωνισμών στα Μαθηματικά. Οι μαθητές θα μπορέσουν να πάρουν μέρος στους διαγωνισμούς ICAS, μόνο αν έχουν πληρώσει το ποσό συμμετοχής. Jeans for Genes Day - Παρασκευή 4 Αυγούστου Η Ημέρα Εράνου - Jeans for Genes Day - είναι μια πολύ σημαντική προσφορά στο Ινστιτούτο Ιατρικής Έρευνας για παιδιά. Ο έρανος αυτός θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή 4 Αυγούστου και συγκεντρώνει χρήματα για την ιατρική έρευνα αναφορικά με τη θεραπεία της λευχαιμίας και άλλων γενετικών παιδικών παθήσεων. Την Παρασκευή 5 Αυγούστου οι μαθητές και οι δασκάλοι/δασκάλες τους μπορούν να φορέσουν τζιν στο σχολείο και να προσφέρουν από 2 δολάρια στον έρανο που θα βοηθήσει την έρευνα για να βρεθεί θεραπεία για τις γενετικές παθήσεις των παιδιών. Φέτος, μπορείτε να κάνετε δωρεά και στο διαδίκτυο. Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου: Τρίτη 15 Αυγούστου – Σχολική Αργία Την Τρίτη 15 Αυγούστου γιορτάζουμε την Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου. Την ημέρα αυτή έχουμε ΣΧΟΛΙΚΗ ΑΡΓΙΑ.



Ενθαρρύνουμε τους μαθητές και γονείς να εκκλησιαστούν με την οικογένειά τους την ημέρα αυτή. Σχολικές Φωτογραφίες Την Τετάρτη, 16 Αυγούστου οι μαθητές του Προνήπιου-Στ’ Δημοτικού θα βγάλουν τις ατομικές και τις σχολικές τους φωτογραφίες με την τάξη τους. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την πλήρη χειμερινή σχολική τους στολή μαζί με το σχολικό σακάκι τους. Οι μαθητές δε θα πρέπει να φορούν τα σχολικά τους πουλόβερ για τη φωτογράφηση. Εβδομάδα Βιβλίου—Δευτέρα 21 – Παρασκευή 25 Αυγούστου Η Εβδομάδα Βιβλίου προωθεί τη γνώση και τη χαρά που προσφέρει η ανάγνωση. Η Εβδομάδα Βιβλίου είναι το μεγαλύτερο σε διάρκεια παιδικό φεστιβάλ της Αυστραλίας. Καθιερώθηκε το 1945 ως ένας μη κερδοσκοπικός, εθελοντικός οργανισμός που προτρέπει όλα τα μέλη της αυστραλιανής κοινότητας να διαβάζουν λογοτεχνία. Στο Κολλέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας γιορτάζουμε την Εβδομάδα Βιβλίου με διάφορες εκδηλώσεις που σχετίζονται με τη λογοτεχνία. Το θέμα της φετινής Εβδομάδας Βιβλίου είναι: ‘Δραπέτευσε Παντού’ Την Τετάρτη 16 Αυγούστου, ο Morris Gleitzman, ο συγγραφέας που έγραψε τα βιβλία: Blabber Mouth, Sticky Beak, Misery Guts, Worry WartsGirl Underground, Boy Overboard και πολλά άλλα βιβλία, θα επισκεφθεί το Σχολείο μας και θα μοιραστεί μαζί με τους μαθητές μας τη συγγραφική της γνώση και εμπειρία. Το κόστος της επίσκεψής της είναι 5 δολάρια. Την Τετάρτη 23 Αυγούστου, οι μαθητές μπορούν να έρθουν στο σχολείο μεταμφιεσμένοι ως χαρακτήρες /ήρωες αγαπημένων βιβλίων ή φορώντας τα καθημερινά τους ρούχα. Οι μαθητές από το Νηπιαγωγείο έως τη Β’ Δημοτικού θα παρελάσουν και θα τραγουδήσουν διάφορα τραγούδια στην

καινούργια αίθουσα τελετών του σχολείου, αμέσως μετά το πρωινό κουδούνι. Οι γονείς είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν και να παρακολουθήσουν την παρέλαση των παιδιών. Την Πέμπτη 24 Αυγούστου, θα γίνει ένας καλλιτεχνικός διαγωνισμός για όλους τους μαθητές όπου θα δοθούν και βραβεία στους νικητές. Το θέμα της φετινής Έκθεσης Βιβλίου είναι «Τροπικό δάσος ανάγνωσης- Τρελαίνομαι για βιβλία!». Ελάτε να διανύσουμε μαζί την το τροπικό δάσος της ανάγνωσης. Η Έκθεση θα είναι ανοιχτή κάθε απόγευμα από τη Δευτέρα 21 Αυγούστου έως και την Παρασκευή 25 Αυγούστου στη βιβλιοθήκη του Δημοτικού στο καινούργιο κτίριο. Τα λεφτά που θα συγκεντρωθούν από την Έκθεση θα διατεθούν για την αγορά βιβλίων για τη βιβλιοθήκη και διαδραστικό υλικό για τις τάξεις μας. Περίπτερο για τη Γιορτή του Πατέρα –Τετάρτη 30 Αυγούστου και Πέμπτη 31 Αυγούστου Ο Σύλλογος Γονέων και Φίλων θα οργανώσει ένα περίπτερο για τη Γιορτή του Πατέρα την Τετάρτη 30 Αυγούστου και την Πέμπτη 31 Αυγούστου. Οι μαθητές θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να αγοράσουν κάτι για τον πατέρα ή τον παππού τους τη μέρα αυτή. Τα δώρα κοστίζουν 10 δολάρια το καθένα. Όσοι θέλουν να αγοράσουν ένα δώρο, παρακαλώ να συμπληρώσουν τη σχετική φόρμα και να την παραδώσουν στη δασκάλα της τάξης μαζί με τα χρήματά τους έως την Τρίτη 29 Αυγούστου. Πρωινό για την Γιορτή του Πατέρα-Πέμπτη 31 Σεπτεμβρίου Για να γιορτάσουμε την Γιορτή του Πατέρα, το Κολέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας θα οργανώσει πρωινό που συμπεριλαμβάνει σάντουιτς με λουκάνικο και καφέ, σε όλους τους πατεράδες και παππούδες του σχολείου μας. Το κόστος του πρωινού είναι 5 δολάρια. Το πρωινό για τη Γιορτή του Πατέρα θα λάβει μέρος την Πέμπτη 31 Σεπτεμβρίου από τις 7:30-8:30πμ. Οι



μητέρες και μαθητές είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν. Σχολικό Πανηγύρι Το Σχολικό Πανηγύρι θα λάβει χώρα την Κυριακή 17 Σεπτεμβρίου. Εάν θα θέλατε να βοηθήσετε το Συμβούλιο Γονέων και Φίλων ή αν ενδιαφέρεστε για ένα δικό σας περίπτερο, παρακαλώ να επικοινωνήσετε με τη Σχολική Γραμματεία.

Αθλητικά Νέα… Σπορ- Χρηματικό ποσό εξόδων Μεταφοράς Σας υπενθυμίζουμε πως το ποσό εξόδων μεταφοράς για το σπορ του Γ’ Τριμήνου, για τους μαθητές της Γ΄- Στ΄ Δημοτικού, θα πρέπει να πληρωθεί στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως την Παρασκευή 1 Σεπτεμβρίου, 2017. Το κόστος είναι 30 δολάρια. Προπόνηση PSSA Η προπόνηση για τους χειμερινούς αγώνες PSSA ξεκίνησε την Τετάρτη 21 Ιουλίου. Οι προπονήσεις έχουν ως εξής: Ποδόσφαιρο αγοριών – Κα Κολίρη (Προπόνηση την Πέμπτη στο Kearns Oval 3.00μμ έως 4.00μμ) Ποδόσφαιρο κοριτσιών- Κος Νικοδήμου (Προπόνηση την Πέμπτη στο Kearns Oval 3.00μμ έως 4.00μμ) Νέτμπολ– Κα Brazil (Προπόνηση Πέμπτη στο προαύλιο του σχολείου 3.10μμ έως 4.15μμ) Νιούκομπολ αγοριών— Κα Στάμου (Προπόνηση Πέμπτη στο προαύλιο του σχολείου στη διάρκεια του μεσημεριανού διαλείμματος) Νιούκομπολ κοριτσιών— Κα Πόζογκλου (Προπόνηση Πέμπτη στο προαύλιο του σχολείου στο προαύλιο του σχολείου 3.10μμ έως 4.15μμ) Υπενθυμίζουμε στους γονείς να παίρνουν τα παιδιά τους αμέσως μετά την προπόνηση και να μην αφήνουν τα αδέρφια των μαθητών μόνα τους στο σχολείο κατά τη διάρκεια της προπόνησης. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει

να έχουν ένα ακόμη μπουκάλι νερό κατά την διάρκεια των προπονήσεων. Επίσης, θα πρέπει να φορούν τα σχολικά τους καπέλα. Οι προπονήσεις θα συνεχιστούν μέχρι την 4η εβδομάδα του Τριμήνου. Από εκεί και πέρα οι ομάδες θα συνεχίσουν τις προπονήσεις τους εάν φτάσουν στους ημιτελικούς και τελικούς. Οι ημιτελικοί χειμερινοί αγώνες PSSA θα πάρουν μέρος την Παρασκευή 18 Αυγούστου και οι τελικοί θα πάρουν μέρος την Παρασκευή 25 Αυγούστου. Οι Καλοκαιρινοί PSSA Αγώνες θα ξεκινήσουν την Παρασκευή 8 Σεπτεμβρίου. Αθλητικοί Αγώνες IPSHA Οι Ετήσιοι Αγώνες IPSHA θα λάβουν χώρα στο International Athletics Centre στο Homebush την Τρίτη 29 Αυγούστου. Το λεωφορείο θα αναχωρήσει από το σχολείο στις 7.15πμ και θα επιστρέψει στις 4.00μμ. Οι μαθητές που θα πάρουν μέρος στους αγώνες θα ειδοποιηθούν σύντομα. Όσοι γονείς επιθυμούν να παραβρεθούν και να υποστηρίξουν το σχολείο μας, είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι. Αθλητικοί Αγώνες Ελληνορθόδοξων Κολλεγίων Φέτος το Κολλέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας θα αναλάβει τη διοργάνωση των Αθλητικών Αγώνων Ελληνορθόδοξων Κολλεγίων που θα λάβει χώρα τη Δευτέρα 11 Σεπτεμβρίου στο Crest Sporting Complex, Bass Hill. Οι μαθητές που θα συμμετέχουν στους αγώνες θα ειδοποιηθούν σύντομα. Οι γονείς είναι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παραβρεθούν και να υποστηρίξουν το Σχολείο μας. Γυμναστική Γ΄ Τριμήνου- Α’ και Δ’ Δημοτικού Φέτος το Κολλέγιο της Αγίας Ευφημίας θα προσφέρει ένα πρόγραμμα γυμναστικής για την Α’ και Δ’ Δημοτικού. Το πρόγραμμα αυτό θα το διευθετήσει η ομάδα των School Gymnastics στη διάρκεια του Γ΄ Τριμήνου. Τα μαθήματα θα γίνονται κάθε Πέμπτη, ξεκινώντας από τη Β’ Εβδομάδα. Το κόστος του προγράμματος είναι 60 δολάρια για 9 μαθήματα.



Παρακαλώ να βάλετε το ποσό αυτό μέσα σε ένα φάκελο, όπου θα αναγράφεται το όνομα του μαθητή, και να το παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της τάξης. Ποιος οργανώνει το πρόγραμμα; Το School Gymnastics αποτελεί ένας οργανισμός που προσφέρει σχολικά προγράμματα γυμναστικής εξαιρετικής ποιότητας. Τα προγράμματα αυτά διδάσκουν στους μαθητές μας ειδικές δεξιότητες γυμναστικής και παράλληλα αναπτύσσουν και βελτιώνουν τη γενική φυσική κατάσταση, τη δύναμη, την ευλυγισία καθώς ενισχύει την αντίληψη χώρου. Τα Προγράμματα School Gymnastics διαθέτουν ειδικούς γυμναστές που χρησιμοποιούν τον καλύτερο αθλητικό εξοπλισμό. Εκδρομές: Προνήπιο-Στ’ Δημοτικού – Εργαστήριο Φυσικής Την Πέμπτη 27 Ιουλίου οι Fizzies Education θα επισκεφθούν το Σχολείο μας για να διεξάγουν διάφορα διαδραστικά εργαστήρια φυσικής στους μαθητές του Προνηπίου-Στ’ Δημοτικού. Στα εργαστήρια αυτά οι μαθητές θα επικεντρωθούν σε διάφορες έννοιες της Φυσικής. Οι μαθητές θα πάρουν μέρος στα εργασήρια αυτά με την τάξη τους κάποια καθορισμένη ώρα στην διάρκεια της ημέρας. Το κόστος του εργαστηρίου είναι 15 δολάρια και θα πρέπει να πληρωθεί στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως τη Δευτέρα 28 Αυγούστου. Γ΄ Δημοτικού Τη Δευτέρα 21 Αυγούστου, οι μαθητές της Γ΄ Δημοτικού θα επισκεφτούν το Sydney’s North Head όπου θα εντρυφήσουν περαιτέρω στο θέμα της Φυσικής με τίτλο: Κάτω Από Τα Πόδια Μας. Οι μαθητές θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να εξερευνήσουν κάποιες γεωλογικές αλλαγές που συντελέστηκαν σε βάθος χρόνου στο περιβάλλον του North Head

Sanctuary. Σε περίπτωση βροχής, η εκδρομή θα πραγματοποιηθεί. Θα πρέπει, λοιπόν, οι μαθητές να είναι προετοιμασμένοι ακόμη και για βροχή. Θα πρέπει να βρίσκονται στο σχολείο στις 8:15 ακριβώς. Θα πρέπει να φέρουν μαζί τους πρωινό και μεσημεριανό γεύμα καθώς κι ένα μπουκάλι νερό σε ένα μικρό σακίδιο. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει να φορούν την πλήρη χειμερινή τους αθλητική στολή μαζί με το καπέλο τους. Το κόστος της εκδρομής είναι 35 δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να βάλετε το πόσο αυτό σε ένα φάκελο όπου θα αναγράφεται το όνομα και η τάξη του μαθητή, και να το παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως τη Δευτέρα 14 Αυγούστου. Κατασκήνωση Ε΄ Δημοτικού Από την Τετάρτη 13 Σεπτεμβρίου έως την Πέμπτη 14 Σεπτεμβρίου, οι μαθητές της Ε΄ Δημοτικού θα επισκεφθούν τα χρυσορυχεία στο Mogo. Η κατασκήνωση αυτή γίνεται στα πλαίσια των μαθημάτων της μελέτης του περιβάλλοντος (HSIE), σχετικά με την ενότητα του ‘Χρυσού’ καθώς και στα πλαίσια της ενότητας της φυσικής με τίτλο ’Προσαρμογές’. Το κόστος της κατασκήνωσης είναι 250 δολάρια. Παρακαλώ να επιστρέψετε την άδεια συμμετοχής στην εκδρομή μαζί με το ποσό αυτό, καθώς και την άδεια χορήγησης Panadol/Nurofen μέσα σε ένα φάκελο όπου θα αναγράφεται το όνομα και η τάξη του μαθητή, και να το παραδώσετε στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως τη Παρασκευή 4 Αυγούστου. Στ΄ Δημοτικού Την Τετάρτη 6 Σεπτεμβρίου, οι μαθητές της Στ΄ Δημοτικού θα εξερευνήσουν την ιστορική διαδρομή που απεικονίζει το ξεκίνημα της Αυστραλίας από το Circular Quay μέχρι τα μυστικά δρομάκια, τα κτίρια και τους ιστορικούς χώρους του Rocks. Η εκδρομή θα καταλήξει στο Sydney Observatory Hill, όπου οι μαθητές θα ανακαλύψουν το δημιουργικό τους εαυτό, καθώς θα αγναντεύουν ολόκληρο τον οικισμό του Rocks. Η εκδρομή αυτή γίνεται στα πλαίσια της ενότητας της Ιστορίας με τίτλο: Η Αυστραλία ως Εθνός. Το κόστος της εκδρομής είναι 30 δολάρια . Παρακαλώ να πληρώσετε το ποσό αυτό στη δασκάλα της τάξης έως τη Δευτέρα 28 Αυγούστου. Οι μαθητές θα πρέπει



να βρίσκονται στο σχολείο μέχρι τις 8:35πμ, και να φορούν την πλήρη χειμερινή τους αθλητική στολή, μαζί με το καπέλο τους. Θα πρέπει επίσης να φέρουν μαζί τους πρωινό και μεσημεριανό γεύμα, καθώς κι ένα μπουκάλι νερό σε ένα μικρό σακίδιο. Σε περίπτωση βροχής η εκδρομή θα ακυρωθεί και θα πραγματοποιηθεί αργότερα. Σημειώνουμε επίσης ότι δε θα επιστραφούν χρήματα διότι θα πρέπει να προπληρωθούν τα εισιτήρια εισόδου.



ΝΕΑ ΤΟΥ ΓΥΜΝΑΣΙΟΥ Δοκιμαστικές Εξετάσεις του HSC Οι μαθητές της Γ΄ Λυκείου πέρασαν τις χειμερινές διακοπές τους μελετώντας για τις Δοκιμαστικές Εξετάσεις του HSC, που θα διεξαχθούν από τη Δευτέρα 31 Ιουλίου μέχρι και τη Δευτέρα 14 Αυγούστου. Συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Κηδεμόνων – Καθηγητών Α΄ Γυμνασίου – Β΄ Γυμνασίου Οι συνεντεύξεις Γονέων/Κηδεμόνων – Καθηγητών για τους μαθητές της Α΄ Γυμνασίου και Β΄ Γυμνασίου έχουν προγραμματιστεί για την Πέμπτη 3 Αυγούστου, 2017 από τις 3.30μ.μ. – 6.30μ.μ. Οι μαθητές παρακαλούνται να κλείσουν ραντεβού με τους καθηγητές τους εκ των προτέρων. Η Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου Λόγω του εορτασμού της Κοιμήσεως της Θεοτόκου το σχολείο θα παραμείνει κλειστό την Τρίτη 15 Αυγούστου.

Διαγωνισμός Στίβου (SWISSA) Οι αγώνες στίβου SWISSA θα διεξαχθούν την Δευτέρα 14 Αυγούστου. Καλή επιτυχία σε όσους θα λάβουν μέρος στους αγώνες.

Εκκλησιασμός Ο υποχρεωτικός εκκλησιασμός είναι ως εξής: Γ΄ Γυμνασίου - Α΄ Λυκείου Κυριακή, 27 Αυγούστου και ώρα 9.30π.μ. Σχολικές Φωτογραφίες Οι σχολικές φωτογραφίες θα διεξαχθούν την Πέμπτη 17 Αυγούστου και Παρασκευή 18 Αυγούστου. Οι μαθητές πρέπει να είναι ντυμένοι κατάλληλα με τη σχολική στολή.
