This month for the Alpha Mu Chapter has been quite busy! We celebrated Founder’s Day as a chapter by going to a local sushi restaurant and enjoying each other's company and a great meal. We also participated in an event called Operation Christmas Child, where we filled shoe boxes full of goodies for children that are less fortunate and send them off to those in need. This was a great way to give back as an organization, just in time for the holidays! Our candidate class is currently hosting a canned food drive at this time. Our upcoming events include initiation on November 30th, and hosting a Secret Santa event! – WP Tessa Woods

For Founder's Day on November 2, 2018, Alpha Nu Chapter met at REILLY Craft Pizza & Drink to celebrate. It was a fun night of pizza and socializing with Brothers and their guests. The following day, Alpha Nu brothers met at the UA mall to setup and help with the Silent Auction. The Silent Auction had a variety of items to bid on from gift cards to sun protective clothing to an ice cream machine. There was various activities to choose from which included meeting the UA Women's Basketball Team to getting checked for melanoma to participating in the walk. – WP Justin Goal

There is no better way to bond with Gamma Alpha Brothers and candidates than to catch a movie we've all been so excited to see at a recent social event! Our love of the Harry Potter series has surely brought us closer together! – WP Marissa Alcon

On October 27th 11 of our Brothers and Candidates went for Halloween bowling with a group of amazing people with disabilities. “Bowling with those with special needs was an event that I would do again in a heartbeat. Though we came to help manage the event and help with crafts, I left feeling as though I had made new friends. Talking with the people at the event, I learned a lot about their lives and how they enjoy their free time. I also realized that I am terrible at bowling, I lost to every single one of them who challenged me to a game!”- Anna Carnazzo ‘21

On November 2nd we celebrated Founder’s Day with a celebratory potluck on Regis’ Campus. 22 brothers were in attendance including our chapter advisor and Grand Past President Dr. Brandon Sucher. It was a night filled with celebration and brotherhood. We also used this time to make waiting room bags for St. Jude’s that included coloring books, sticker packs, and games. We also had our semester “Jeans Day” on November 2nd, where everyone can wear jeans to class for a $2 fee and all of our proceeds were donated to St. Jude’s Hospital.

This semester we piloted our “PDC A-Team”. Any Brother who receives an A (94% or higher) on an exam can submit their name to a raffle to be drawn each semester. We’re so excited to be promoting scholarship within our brotherhood this way. – WP Amanda Grady

We initiated 28 new Sigma Brothers from an amazing candidate class. They went above and beyond a typical candidate class, and we are so happy to welcome them into the PDC family! Thank you to Gamma Rho for joining us! – WP Morgan Garlington
